Talking snakes, stopping time, flat earth, resurrected dead ... nothing but logical truths.

Speaking of 2012 ... In other news, NdT was on Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night. Damn, he's great.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : But...the Titanic was real

This made me laugh. Thanks, Julie. I just had a thought. Are there any indications that any boats looked like the one that Noah purportedly built? I mean, why is the iconic image of Noah's ark the one we use?Is it like any other marine vessel we know of? Are there any photographs? Honk. Is it like the image of Jesus? It became iconic, but it has nothing to do with what Jesus or anyone living in that area at that time looked like.

I have this one in blue, too. I have the devil burying bones and the periodic table with five elements on it. Although lately since I've been reading that goddamn creationist book as part of that fucking challenge I agreed to, the periodic table is something creationists would use to show how scientists were wrong at one time. The stupid, it burns.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : God vs the Superbowl

What gets me is the repeated argument from Christians that Jesus transforms lives. How come I never get to meet the people who have been transformed for the good of humanity?

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Most fiction is fun to read

Dante also gave those fuckers their perception of hell, which really isn't found in the bible. He and Milton -- throw in a dash of hieronymus bosch -- influenced Christianity's afterlife more than the bible itself.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Butt licking, New Jersey and God...what fun!

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Wait, Fox has video footage of the birth of Jesus?

Do you think that when Mary was giving birth to Jesus, he healed any vaginal tearing he caused as he was exiting the canal or did he let her suffer a little, and when she finally said, "Please, Jesus, heal your mommy," he reached his little glowing finger to her crotch and "poof" healed her back up? Maybe even threw in a new hymen while he was working on it.

I heard him speak and he said, "Bogiddy bogiddy bogiddy boo!" The other time I heard him, he was groaning and dragging an arm. He looked like he just got his makeup done to star in the "Thriller" video. I saw it, heathens, so you can't deny it.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : The last teaparty of the year...

I laughed my ass off at the sunshine bit. "What we want is more sunshine without more heat and brightness." I had to watch it twice. I was laughing so hard, my neighbors in Wisconsin told me to shut up. "First they came for the rich"? That bit was just full of shit.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Um....god = allah.

We've all seen the sites that show how many people god killed opposed to Satan in the bible. Didn't Ricky Gervais say something about where's the book written by Satan? Maybe he's actually got something to say for himself. I tend to think Satan -- if he existed - would be the more likable fellow, but God beat him to the punch, spoiled the well, and the evil one is playing the "I'm the good guy, believe me" card. The suckers are all worshiping at god's feet, while Satan is kicking dirt wondering which PR firm to hire and get out of this mess.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Fox News caters to the low IQ of its viewers

I'm not saying, "Neh neh boo boo, I saw it first." I remember enjoying it, but I don't like posting Daily Show stuff, because I have to link to the site. Wordpress is very limited in embedding videos or slide shows. It's really irritating. I like other aspects of Wordpress, though.

Awesome. I'm going to repost from here, because I can't embed Comedy Central at wordpress, and if I send people to Comedy Central, they have to sit through a commercial. Thanks Julie! Oh, and I saw the original airing, but forgot about it till now. It's a classic.

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Mommy Dearest

This girl is a piece of work. I don't get her at all. Her father is sick with cancer, which I imagine is what she's always praying about. Her posts are always disconnected. She starts with thoughts and finishes with the most bizarre twists of oddity that don't have anything to do with god, that I can tell. Thank god for fucking Kate plus 8? What the fuck is that?

Attempts at Rational Behavior : Get your $3 CHRISTmas button here

You know, maybe Christians get bent out of shape over the "war", because the only visual evidence they have of "Christ" is when it's written on Merry Christmas signs. If that was one of the only opportunities you had throughout the year to see "Christ" albeit in word only, you'd get pissed off too if that was taken away from you too. Maybe the "war" is the result of frustration with never seeing the sweet baby Jesus (Think Will Ferrell in Taladega Nights) until Christmas time. Most stained glass in churches picture the bloody, dying Jesus, and that's frustrating. If you take candy from children, don't they throw temper tantrums?
