Where is the evidence of these threats that you speak of? I'd like to see some stories on it. Heck, I'd even believe it if i saw it on MSNBC.

He's the president you fool... everyone that believes in this country wants to see the president succeed. We pray for the country, and we pray for the office of the president... no matter who is there.

The Bush speeches on and after 9/11 are ones that I do remember still to this day. And for those, no teleprompter was needed. On those days, there was no more powerful voice we heard. Think about it, how many were fearful when he was in the air before making a televised speech? We needed his words... words that did not come from a teleprompter.

Well now, isn't it big of you to only be 18 and commenting on the Vietnam conflict based only on what you've seen in today's history books? I'd be willing to bet you that there are MANY Vietnam vets here... why don't you talk to them before you say you can pick and choose what wars to fight?

Just tell us where to get them! I'll be buying one for my house, my neighbors, and my parents.

Do they still teach civics this days? If I had to remember, I would say my last look at civics, until college, was in the junior high part of my education. Seeing as it was starting to be left out then, I wonder what it's status is today.

Exaier, you're right. Like him or not, he did understand that the office is a sacred place, one to be held to the highest standards that have existed since 1. Part of the president's job is being a figure head and not just part of the executive branch. That is one place I feel Obama has let us down. He needs to respect that office before we will ever truly be able to convince us he is the right man for the job.

Can an actor do the job? My fear is that they would be fighting an uphill battle far as getting coverage out there. Hollywood is terribly outspoken when it comes to some of the petty issues in liberal politics, but do you think they are ready to be a voice or a leader along the lines of what Charlton Heston was for the NRA?

A comment by O'Reilly got me thinking the other night. He was discussing with his guest as to the reasons for so many people coming out for the G20 protests earlier in the week. And clearly, one thing he said that made was the sheer nature of being able to blast out on the Internet, in real-time, and organize people. For the purpose of his discussion he was labeling it as a bad thing. I quickly agreed. However, I started thinking one step ahead. Like Glenn says "it" is coming... the day where we have not only had enough, but are going to act upon it. When that moment happens one tool we will undoubtedly use to organize and unite will be the Internet. It's not often I disagree with Bill, but in this case, let's all be ready to use this tool for good just as Beck's project intended.

Seaheather, I couldn't agree with you more and applaud you for making the statements. This all comes down to a growing majority no longer being informed about the ins and outs of what goes on outside of their immediate world. To ride of your comments about Big Brother and such... I refer to that as the "reality effect"... shows convincing people that nothing matters more than whatever personal event is happening at that specific moment.
