You must be the person who was going to turn him loose in the woods when he got sick.

Amazing how people decry the abuse of these animals, yet you get thumbs down for stating the obvious.

It has everything to do with it. It's about how animals are treated, and the fact that we chose which animals we want to care about and feel sorry for, while we do/allow heinous and vile things to others. They all feel pain and have the ability to communicate. You're an idiot, and you prove my point perfectly. Know go pet your dog while you stuff your face with animal.

Meat is murder, and the majority of the slaughter and everything that leads up to it is horrific.
But to see and fully understand that would make most people uncomfortable, and possibly realize how hypocritical they are.

Animals are going to get sick and have accidents. That is something that people adopting pets need to consider...are they going to be able to get there pet's teeth cleaned or are they going to be able to care for them if they get hit by a car. I'm not saying that low income people should not have pets, but if they do I hope they take the time to find programs that will provide free or low cost pet care, for example paw-team and dove-lewis. When animals get sick it cost a lot of money to take care of them. As unfortunate as it is, this the truth. I have seen countless pets euthanized because people couldn't care for there basic needs. I worked at a vet. for a short period of time that euthanized 2 middle aged dogs because the owners breed one of their other dogs and wanted to keep a puppy. I did a client intake form on a horrible woman who brought a new, beautiful kitten into the clinic to be dewormed. While talking she told me she had a cat that her son's tortured and she could not touch it, which had ugly kittens. She gave the kittens to her uncle who used them to train his dogs to hunt. She openly told us this, and no vet. cared. I called the police and they said they didn't care. This happened in 2006 and I still have not forgotten it.

Wolves thin out prey herds by taking the sick and old. I wish wolves thinned the "people herd" like they do elk. And insert "stupid and republican" for sick and old.

I wouldn't object to wolves in my backyard, bring em. I do object to stupid people though. By the 1930's wolves pretty much had been trapped, poisoned, and shot to extinction, so that has not even been 1 generation(FYI, a generation is 100 yrs.) The wolves didn't leave on there own, they were killed. They had inhabited the lower 48. My suggestion to you is go move somewhere that doesn't have wolves because there are about 40 states that don't. Then you could spend your time and energy on something more intelligent and worthwhile. Oh how I wish wolves thinned the people like they do elk!!

The numbers of predators is out of balance? In which direction? Last I heard grey wolves use to roam all of the lower 48, now they're limited to approx. 5 states. The only thing that is out of balance and needs regulating are egocentric humans that want to exterminate everything except prey animals. Unfortunately wolves don't eat people, I wish they did. Your claim that non-native cattle reduce fuel accumulation has not been studied enough, and at best only mildly works, if at all. Let's not forget how much erosion they cause in the process, and the creeks and streams they're feces and urine pollute.

If you set up an unsupervised "McDonald's" in the middle of nature you're going to get customers. Livestock is left to range on vast amounts of land leaving them completely vulnerable. On public lands livestock is left for months, then the owners come back at the change of seasons to pick up the herd and expects to have the same number of animals. Take responsibility for human action and inaction.
