Another rebuke to what this author said is about companies leaving to go to Hong Kong and other places to produce. I say good riddance and don't come back for our protection when all of those beautiful people over there turn on you and take your business, because we won't.

Just don't get behind the guy from the Insurance company that got hundreds of Billions of dollars from the government because they were too big to rail, or how about the extra 2 or 3 cents you pay for all of your veggies because all the corporate farms get socialist subsidies, of which food stamps is the largest. Girl with baby gets $200 a month, Ag subsidies get 20 billion a month. The government and the corporations are together as one and Obama is one person who tried to stop this, but corporations and embedded government employees do not want this to change. It isn't the little kid that has to eat that is the problem, it is the fat dude that has to eat what a million of us do which is. At an earlier time when the wealth was distributed more fairly it did make sense to support corporations but not any more, since they have shown that they cannot be trusted because of all the off-shoring, not paying their fair share of taxes, and paying all of this money to control our government. Don't support anybody that is in the pocket of the corporations.

I think that this guy must be hallucinating. I am a huge Ayn Rand fan and what he says is wrong. American business is doing better than it has ever done in the United States history. They are raking in money hand over fist. They have hired millions overseas in China with its 120,000 American owned factories. The Chinese have ran out of bodies to go to work now the productive American worker has created all of these jobs for them. Free enterprise is happening world wide now and American companies and the wealthy are reaping the benefits more than any other group. Of course, these same companies are not passing these gains onto the rest of us except in the case of upper management because, of course, they need them. As soon as they can outsource them they will be gone too. As soon as the crafty Chinese capitalists can steal all of our business core business processes, then all of the companies will be gone too, along with the rich. Unfortunately, Obama is just cleaning up the President before this, who got us into this mess. It is unfortunate that he has to help so many people because if these companies had any morality they would make it right. These companies are not hurting at all and in the US pay the lowest tax rate in the industrial world. It is not the companies or free enterprise that is hurting here, it is the economy, partially because corporations are paying lower taxes. The amount of taxes too low is about the same as our deficit. If they would have paid their taxes since 2001 there would be 11 Trillion more in the treasury now, but they paid off and cajoled everybody like you to cry along with them - I only have a billion, I need more, it is the socialists to blame, not our back pocket guy, who only steals more for us. Ayn Rand had no time for thieves and that is exactly what she was talking about. Corporations who are not only getting socialist tax subsidies given to them by George Bush also get real socialist subsidies like money for not growing crops, to banks and stock market brokers getting free money, to huge insurance companies getting hundreds of billions from the government. They hire lobbyists to influence our government, which up to the point of being taken over by a select few with money, was the greatest in the world. Ayn Rand spoke up against unfairness in the government that gave something to one and took something from another. In this case that would be taking our taxes to give billions to big business to continue on with their crookedness and thievery of the American peoples money. To her the people that decided who gets what under this type of system were not fair nor could they ever be fair, because this type of system does not work. For each according to their needs to each according to their ability is what the communist phrase said, but it never explained how the wealth would be parceled out. This is the problem that everybody on all sides is complaining about. This is not new under Obama, it started with Nixon in the late 60's, that the government should give the rich more. Our country was just fine when the middle class controlled 60% of the wealth and the rich controlled 40% of the wealth. Now that the rich control 99% of the wealth and the poor control 1% of it our country does not work anymore. Ayn Rand was escaping from a philosophy which gave 99% of the wealth to the laggards and 1% to the producers. I see a lot of resemblances to what we have now!

Big Government : Congress Tinkers with Withholding Tax Tables for 2010

If you go back to 1970 and look at the tax tables and look at them for each year after that you will see that they have been rising ever since then and before. The trend line has almost always been higher. Are you now wondering why you cannot find the tax tables from prior years on the Internet? hahah. All of this fighting about taxes over the years is just a false argument. Taxes have been going up no matter whether it is a Republican or a Democrat in office. Both parties are responsible for this. When are Americans going to realize that they are actually just being huckstered every 2 and 4 years about tax rates. The main difference is what the money is spent on. Republicans like wars so that their private contractor friends can get rich. Democrats also like them for the same reason. Republicans claim that they don't like welfare, but for some reason the Health and Welfare bill keeps going up, and with the Republicans they have other giveaways to the rich too. The Democrats raise the Social Security and food stamps 2% and lower the corporate welfare by 2%. The Republicans do the opposite. For some reason the total bill is higher every 4 years, no matter who is in office. Now Obama has inherited a depression, while the banks and Wall Street have inherited a trillion dollars in free money just so they don't go broke. Half came from Bush and half came from Obama. I mean, the central tenant of their whole philosophy that they constantly preach is that if a company fails it is not a bad thing because new things spring from that. I guess that one thing that most people don't realize is that it takes so many dollars to run this country and politicians have to play games so that the people accept the bill. There is an alternative but the average person won't do it. That is to go back to the dusty roads that existed before they started taxing people. Back then people mainly walked where they went or rode horses. We could have millions of people starving like in Africa. Many people in this country advocate this, but it would just show us how no class they are. We happen to have a country that has a lot of fancy things and most of us want to keep it that way. We are already the lowest taxed people in the industrialized world by the government. Unfortunately, the corporations seem to want to tax us a lot for things like health insurance and hospital care. Maybe we need to start trying to see how we can improve things instead of everybody worrying that they are going to have to pay a little more than somebody else. Even more it is time we pitched together as a country instead of one group trying to work another group into disfavor! Don't people realize that these are extraordinary times, and things could change forever in this country for the worse.
