I'm not sure what part of the country you live in, but there is a wonderful morning show here in Pittsburgh, PA (it's now on XM) and has been since ~3 years after Rush emerged. The show is the Quinn & Rose show. The website is www.warroom.com. Quinn use to be a top 40 dj here before he was accused of sexual harassment. The union sold him out and he became conservative. He has been preaching the evils of progressiveism and government handout. It is slavery - the government is keeping us on it's plantation. If I didn't have the car I do now, I would have considered this program at first glance. But the more you think about this there are more consequences that no one has considered that will do more harm than good. Being an engineer by trade - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. What people don't realize is that there can be many small reactions to one action, I don't think we completely understand all those little reactions and the consquences.

Here is an idea for an anti-government health care commercial - please pass it on. How can the government miss read the GDP numbers stating that they didn't know how deep the recession was, or how can we trust Congress' and the White Houses' claims that government health care won't add to the deficit if they can't adequately fund the "Cash for Clunkers" program for the 4 months that they designed the program for? The money ran out 4 days into the program, based on history, the government health care will become an unfunded mandate for the states to maintain. Please, Please pass this along. Some form of this should be run from now until Congress goes back in session. The commercial needs to run 2x an hour every day until the health care bill is defeated.

Once again another government program that is underfunded, promised that it is only temporary, and will be an unfunded government mandate for states to receive government funding. Need a national campaign stating these facts as a way to battle the health care debate. "The government ran out of money for the "Cash for Clunkers" program, how can we trust their predictions that universal health care will not add to the deficit let alone lower costs for health care. How can we trust people who can't even fund a program that was only to last 4 months?"

I believe your are correct about a 3rd party OldMarine. There are too many people who vote strictly along party lines because they either don't understand or want to educate themselves to the candidates vaues and beliefs. I believe the true reason why BHO got elected was because too many Reps just wanted change. I believe that this site, Ron Paul's campaign, and the Tea Parties are the just the very start of the true change. We are examining what is being taught to our children. We are now realizing what turning the other check and ignoring dissention has done for our Country. I'm working on my family, they all believe that whatever they do will have no effect, that all politicians are the same - corrupt. I believe that this is where we need to star, we can make a difference, we can put people in office who's values are the same as ours.

Go figure that the attacks would come from the left. Obama has perfected the Clinton techniques of personnel destruction. However, conservatives should also take some of the blame for this. By ignoring what we consider small insignificant attacks, give the Statist more power over us. While we don't see the damage done by the small attacks, the Statist keeps chipping away awt our foundation. Mrs. Palin has ignited a our passion and we are now finding our voices. This is a pivotally point in our Nation's history. I don't think that the Statists in charge believed they would encounter resistance, but Mrs. Palin has reminded us of our greatness. I welcome her resignation to help unite everyone who believe in our Country's greatness. We should take this opportunity to educate our young people since most of them believe that socialism is the answer. I pray for Mrs. Palin and look forward to the future.

I don't bother with Murtha. I'm not in his district. Mike Doyle represents me and not very well. He doesn't listen to any phone calls and doesn't respond to any emails. Unfortunately, he has run unopposed for the last 4 terms. District 14 can't even come up with 1 opposition candidate to run against him. I hope Russell runs again against Murtha. While I hated taking the hit, I took it out and I'm using it to buy gold and silver. I'm taking control of it myself and no one will know where it is. When inflation skyrockets higher than what it was in the late 70's-early 80's, the value will be there. Also buy tangiable goods that can be used for bartering. Just prepare and vote the bums out in 2010. No incumbant should remain in the house and the 1/3 of the senate that are up for reelection. I'm actually looking forward to the PA senate race when Arlen gets his but handed to him. I like Toomey.

You are right about the government know everything about you, but if you file taxes we already have a federal ID. The SS#. You can't even have a child in the hospital without obtaining a number. I didn't get my SS# until I went to college. My brother had to get one for each of his 3 kid (the oldest is 13) before they would discharge them from the hospital. We need to make sure that there are no incumbants reelected in 2010 for the house and the 1/3 of the Senate. We need to vote the bums out!

I my opinion, we need to be able to purchase health insurance like we do life, home, auto, etc. Employers should not be required to provide coverage for their full time employees. When I got laid off, I made sure I shopped around and was able to find the same coverage that my employer was paying $350/mon for $90/mon. Cobra is a joke. We should be doing the medical savings accounts to pay for doctors visits, medications, etc - the insurance should be for catastrophic care. Under the catastrophic coverage, the insurance company pays and there can be no raiding of the medical savings accounts. The money in the account should be allowed to accumulate. Shopping and competition is our best way to deal with this. We also need to get rid of the FDA that is prohibiting people for purchasing the same drugs from countries who are cheaper.

Remember back to the day when he said the Dow was a poll. How does he feel now that the Dow is going up? Has anyone read the Amity Shlaes book about the Great Depression? There are so many parallels, there was a depression within the depression. He is overrated, just as many of the great quarterbacks of the NFL and center of the NHL. He will get the credit for giving us time to get out of the stock market, but in time (greater than 50 years) be blamed for the worst economic and moral decline of the Greatest Country in the entire world. We as a group need to work to establish our presence just as the progressive movement has in the last 100 years. This will not happen overnight, and we will not be alive to see the transition, but we must start this now. Get rid of all those who believe the Constitution is a living document!
