Kyle: Will Compton and Sean Fisher were not on the field very much from the Oklahoma game on, since Nebraska basically switched to a single linebacker lineup, with 6 DBs... They are not deserving of this honor, and it points out how the Nebraska defense will not be able to repeat what they did this year... However, I think that Bo Pelini has figured out how to defend the Spread, many should examine what he has done... Congrats WILL PERICAK!!!

Bo Pelini admitted that Colorado is Nebraska's rival... Do not know if everyone caught that??? On why he thinks this game is rivalry game “I get the feeling from the fans. I judge that from the fans. I haven’t been a part of this program for a real long time, but I know this is a game special to our fans and I think it’s special to the Colorado fans. It's two states sitting side by side. It’s very special to our great fans out in Western Nebraska because they are right there in the Colorado zone and they want bragging rights. They make a lot of sacrifices in driving a long way every week to come see us play, and we have to have their back on this end when we play Colorado. That’s all part of the deal.”

One person to keep in mind is BO PELINI. Bo is a big time Catholic, and grew up in Ohio, in the same neck of the woods. He would recruit like crazy all over the country, and they could finally play some real defense up there. I know he would probably like to stay at Nebraska, but if ND called and offered the job with about 3-4 million reasons, then he just might go!!! Bo would win a National Title at Notre Dame sooner than Nebraska, since he would be an independent. Just keep him in mind as this thing unfolds, because if Kelly says no, then Bo makes the most sense.

Geer, McKnight, Smith I like, it will be hard to get Smart on there, he was not that dynamic or game breaking. 3 wins, 3 players, it all adds up... You need to coach the kids better so that we can have more Big 12 performers, and thus more big 12 wins... We really need Jimmy Smith to come back to the team, and not go pro!!!

Want to give Tyler Hansen a congrats on coming off the bench, and becoming a viable Big 12 QB in his Sophomore season, despite the rough time he has had in this program... I believe that he will be capable of improving, because I saw improvement in every single game this year... Early on he was trying too hard and taking unnecessary sacks because he would not throw the ball away... He also has timed his runs well, and he has a very nice zip on his throws... If he can improve over the summer, and with the competition from Clark, those two will be a nice duo... I really like the competitive spirit of Cody Hawkins, but I really hope that he transfers to a Div 1AA school and steps on the field in his senior season and throws for 500 yards and moves on with his life... It is not a benefit to have him at the school next year, and he deserves to play, because he is a smart and tough QB, just not in the Big 12...

Riddle is a true Hawkism, just go to work, and punt it 37 yards, and we missed a few tackles, and oh well, we will get there, and whatever... Never met Riddle, sure he is a nice guy, but it is pretty obvious that he is not a special teams guy, and a change should be made for change sake... The extra point rule should be changed, that is a continuation of the play, and I thought that I heard that a walk on senior was going to snap the ball, that is sad...

2010 Rules for Hawk: #1 Please give Riddle a big hug and tell him you will miss him, and go get a new Special Teams coach, because if you have the worst punting in the Big 12, the worst FG kicking in the Big 12, and you give up back breaking punt returns, you must go with a new guy!!! #2 When the team commits penalties, and loses a close game because of missed field goals, or missed opportunities, you will say "This was all on me, WE were not as focused and prepared as we should have, and I take all that on me!!!" #3 In year 5, you are not young, you do not need to fix any little things, and you cannot talk about the project you are undertaking... The car is done, the house is finished, drive it, live in it, and NO EXCUSES!!! Colorado fans are still 1-1 this weekend, since we enjoyed the great performance by the Broncos on Thursday... Nebraska is the greatest home of college football in America, and I hope that Colorado can get back to being a fun to watch rival of Nebraska, even though the commitment in Colorado in all facets will not likely match that of Nebraska, Colorado can and will compete with them again... Colorado fans can root for Carmello, the Avs, the playoff Rockies, etc, etc, etc... Nebraska has only the Huskers, and that is why this is the most boring place on earth for a sports fan... Nebraska's true rival will always be Oklahoma, because just like Alabama, those three states (not including the OKC Thunder/NBA) have nothing else to do but college football... Different worlds, different fans, not wrong, just different... Buffs fans have an NFL attitude, and that is not right, go back to just cheering for the efforts of the young kids!!!

Here is a link to an opinion about Hagan and the option, and I watched Crouch and Frazier play many times, and the term option means that you actually have a decision to make each time on pitching the ball to freeze the end, and Crouch and Frazier were the least likely to ever pitch the ball, rather they kept it a majority of the time, and ran to their own glory... Option is unselfish, and beautiful when it is ran, and Hagan did the option like no other in history in the sense of having the pitch available at anytime!!! http://www.sports1234.com/football-american/1720-... Let's talk for a minute about Cody now... With Dan publicly saying he should not have brought him here, and then the Facebook/Cell Phone thing, and now the stay another year, and obviously Tyler will be the QB, what happens to Cody... Very awkward situation, and as crazy as this sounds, he should strongly consider a transfer to a Div 1AA school and have a 5,000 yard senior season... Next year, Clark Evans will be the backup QB, while Hirschmann and Legeaux Redshirt, and the other guys provide solid depth and talent... Cody is really the odd man out... What does everyone think about him???

Totally agree with dux, I am a true fan, and I would not wear Blue, and no more than a few hundred fans wore them... The Nebraska fan comment is BS, because during the end of Callahan's era, they were not proud nationally of their team at all... They will always love the boys, but on the same level as the Colorado Blue fiasco, the Huskers were in the same boat, it unfortunately happens to most if not all programs...

OK, more thoughts on this, next year Hawkins can not, and I repeat CAN NOT say the same BS in his speeches!!! He also needs to learn how to breathe with his mouth shut during interviews!!! Things he is not allowed to say: WE ARE SO YOUNG JUST A FEW THINGS A FEW PLAYS HERE AND THERE and no more "They", it is "We", and you must take responsibilty to every single thing that does not go the right way, every single time... I will be over this by tomorrow, but right now I am just stunned...

2010 can be an 8-4 plus bowl season as follows: W CSU 1-0 W @ CAL 2-0 W Hawaii 3-0 L Georgia 3-1 L @ Missouri 3-2 W Baylor 4-2 W Texas Tech 5-2 L @ Oklahoma 5-3 W @ Kansas 6-3 W Iowa State 7-3 W Kansas State 8-3 W/L @ Nebraska 9-3 or 8-4 Possible Big 12 Title Game 9-4 or 8-5 W/L Bowl Game 9-5 or 8-6 I will root like crazy for the players and the program!!! Hawkins will be like my sister-in-law at Thanksgiving, say hello and then ignore them the whole freaking time!!! Disfunctional, but it will work for another year... We cannot have vocal disdain for this situation for the benefit of the players, and the RECRUITS!!!

Everyone get your bitching out today, and then spend time with your family on Thursday, and then root like hell for the Buffs on Friday, the decision is made, it sucks, we must go with it, and the schedule next year is not that daunting if we are competitive from the get-go, we need to have the confidence and momentum that this team has never had... Hawkins needs to get excited on the sideline, chew the refs, let the assistants do their jobs without micro-managment, and maybe we can win 7-8 games next year, and maybe he can earn the fans back... If he starts out any worse than 2-2 in non-conference, then he is done... Must beat CSU and Hawaii, and must be competitive and hopefully win at Cal, then Georgia will be the season benchmark... If the team starts out anything less, and with the same poor play as this year, then fire him the day after the Georgia game and let Cabral finish the year... Maybe this guy will coach his butt if if he has it on fire!!! Go Buffs, I see a win on Friday...

OK everyone, I was truly the most excited about Hawkins 4 years ago, stayed with him the 2nd year, waffled in the 3rd, but just maybe, then I have wanted to jump off a bridge this year, and definitely wanted him gone, BUT.... Now that he is staying, I will support him and the team 110%, because that is what great fans do!!!!!! I also ask all of you to please treat the Nebraska fans with respect and kindness, just as they always try to do here in Lincoln... I think that the Buffs will win on Friday in a close and exciting low scoring game, and that will help the offseason... I have a feeling that the players had something to do with this, even if it was not the majority, there was possibly a mutiny in store... What these players that we all like and care for need to realize is that they need to be tougher and more accountable for the way they play, just like I think that Hawk will have to take responsibility for everything that happens on Friday and every game next year!!! Go Buffs, Let's stop complaining and support what we have!!!

Darian, you have our 100% support, and we support the players 100%, especially this week, a win over Nebraska is the sweetest Pumpkin Pie ever!!! We do not want to beat NU because we hate them, rather we want to win because we respect them, and beating them is a legitimate thing in College Football year in and year out... I still am shocked to have the greatest option QB in history on the staff, and we have run the option a total of 3 times!!! That is stupidity at its finest, and I know that has nothing to do with Darian, that is all on Kiesau and Hawkins...
