GazetteOnline.com : My Associated Press Top 25 ballot for Week 2

Oklahoma is tricky. Beating FSU so soundly puts them at 6 at worst. But how did Utah St play them so close. I would still put them ahead of Florida, UT, IA and Wisc, but that Utah ST game is a concern. UT has done nothing. FL will lose multiple games and Wisc only beat San Jose St by 14. So right now 1. Bama 2 Ohio State 3. Oregon 4. Oklahome 5. TCU 6. Iowa 7. Boise 8. Florida 9. Nebraska 10. South Carolina-finally have a running game. Lattimore is a stud Might be their year to get to 10 wins

It was a absolute miracle Chuck ever got the chance to be a head coach at the D1 level. He is a marginal coach and below average recruiter. It was a blessing when he left the staff at Iowa.

And this is why so many new businesses fail. You enjoy a class in Vegas and you assume it will succeed in Cedar Rapids, Ia. Good luck to this woman, but I hope she did her homework regarding the financial outlook regarding this venture. I guess it did not really cover how much initial invetment was needed and it does not appear to be a franchise, so maybe she was able to start with a relatively modest startup money If it gets women exercising in a fun and exciting new format, then who cares if it uses a pole. Society needs to get in better shape

You have made your beliefs known. That is great and you are more than free to enjoy your events with or without cocktails. But I really do not think it is not up to you to say that others should not have a cocktail or two when attending an event. Many people I know have kids and jobs, so Iowa football offers them a few hours where they can have a couple of cocktails. But I totally agree it would be awesome if people avoided getting "sloppy" drunk

Also alot of people blame the students, which I am sure do their fair share of over the top drinking. But for the past few years as a grad student in my later 20's I will say the behavior in the student section is much, much better than behavior when I have sat in sections with friends in sections in othwer sections. I have been very pleasantly surprised how well behaved the undergrad students are.

I see a higher percentage of drunks at local pubs than at Iowa football games, maybe we should look at the problem drinking there. It would be great if everyone could control their drinking, but most of the people that tailgate at Iowa football games look forward to the end of a busy work week and the opportunity to hang out with friends, have a couple cocktails and watch some food. Tailgating, be it in college or NFL, will always involve drinking. Maybe you should contact the beer companies who spend millions upon millions of dolars advertising for tailgating season that you think the world would be better off without alcohol at sporting events. See how that goes over

Yes, typically they can track where eggs go. If you look at you egg package it will usually tell you date produced, line produced, etc. But it is not uncommon for recalls to grow, so I do not blame you for chucking your eggs and playing it safe

Yes, and there are Boomsma eggs in Iowa as well. But I am not sure if any of the eggs affectred by the recall were sold in Iowa. Doesn't Fareway carry Boomsma eggs? Has anyone seen if they have had to pull any of their eggs. Just because a store carries a brand affected by a recall, it does not mean that all items under that brand will be recalled. Production site, line, etc can determine when and where the affected product came from and you can recall accordingly

Yes Iowa was listed in the article, but you need to read the article to understand why Iowa was listed. SO I will try to explain The eggs appear to have been produced in Iowa, but as of right now theydo not believe any were sold in Iowa. Quote from article "The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa, were linked to several illnesses in Colorado, California and Minnesota. The CDC said about 200 cases of the strain of salmonella linked to the eggs were reported weekly during June and July, four times the normal number of such occurrences"
