I am not a fan of JoePa and believe that he needs to resign now... but to confuse him with other coaches is not fair. Joe Paterno raised a lot of money for PSU academics. When he started coaching PSU essentially had a 1$ endowment. They now have a billion dollar endowment. A lot of which JoePa helped to raise. He used the football team as a bully pulpit for academics, not just for the sake of a better team (ala the UW).

JoePa was not a mid-level supervisor. He is/was the most powerful state official in Pennsylvania. He ran his program thoroughly and was engaged in all aspects from game day planning to insuring his student athletes attended class and graduated. Surely he could have followed up on his single phone call relating a coach emeritus having sex with child in JoePa's football team's shower room.

JoePa needs to go now and hope his good works are not completely eclipsed by his lack of judgement and action in this case.

Released 3 times, until Hill uncovered the evidence they needed. He had to take the box down to the station to the police station to get the print lifted.

Dallas made a large impact on me as a teacher. He also imprinted a love of the outdoors as well as a deep respect for the dangers and how to prepare for them.

As for experienced, he pioneered many routes used today by climbers. Above all else, he was always prepared and extremely safety conscious.

Dallas you will be missed by all.

The L-39 is not from the USSR but from Czechoslovakia. It was assembled in Prague by Aerovodochody.
