Although I think these women were idiots for going through with their plan. I have to admit it was probably a good lesson for the loser. I bet he'll be a little more careful with his johnson in the future.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Grandchildren left in car while woman gambled | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Offbeat

Don't get me wrong, because I think this lady was totally in the wrong. I am just curious as to what the law is here when it comes to leaving children in cars. At what age is it okay? My kids have sat in the car and waited for me several times while I ran into the grocery store for a few minutes. This was by their own choice. My kids are not little either, my youngest is now 15. Someone told me it was okay if they were over 12. Anyone from law enforcement care to let us all know what is appropriate?

Well what if a prisoner fakes being in labor so that they can escape? Obviously not the case here, but prisoners will go to extremes to escape sometimes.

While I don't think it was right to have her shackled around the belly I don't have a lot of sympathy for her. She was a prisoner. Shackling her around the leg seems totally legitimate to me. It's not like a leg shackle is torture or something. Heck my mother was tied down to the bed during labor with my brother back in 1953 and she wasn't even a prisoner. That was just the way they did things back then.

While the books sound very similar, it does sound like she put things into her "own" words which in my opinion is NOT plagiarism. I'm sure you could look at other books about the disease and they would all have plenty of basically the same information that is just worded slightly differently. I'm not saying she didn't plagiarize, but from the examples in that letter I would say no.

I haven't heard one word about them trying to get counseling or really trying to make their marriage work. All I have heard is how they don't want to quit filming this show. I personally think they should have given up the show a long time ago and tried to really WORK on their marriage and being good parents. I've only seen this show a time or two, but they treat each other like crap. Kate especially. She's a major b****. They should watch their own show with a counselor and take a good look at how they treat each other. It sounds like it's too late now and it's really too bad because who really suffers is the kids.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Man charged in emaciated mom\'s death | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

Why was no one checking on this woman. Did she have no other friends or relatives? Why didn't the neighbors report it sooner if they heard this woman moaning and asking for help all the time? It just sounds like a horrible case that should have been avoided. Someone, somewhere should have been looking out for her. Why didn't her son ever get help for her? My guess is he is probably a cheap bastard and he either didn't want to have to fork out any money for her care or he didn't want his possible "inheritance" dwindling away on medical care for her. What a horrible way for this woman's life to end.

I'm surprised at how many of you are suggesting they stay. Have you ever been burglarized yourself? It is a very scary thing, especially when it keeps happening over and over again. It sounds to me like this family has tried just about everything already. If I was one of the neighbors I would be extremely worried. If they haven't been robbed yet, they will be next, especially since this home will no longer have anyone in it to rob.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : PETA: Did Obama have to swat that fly? | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | National

I just keep wondering what the PETA people do when all the pets they protect get fleas. They must hand pick them all off and release them into the wild. I'll be if they end up with termites destroying their home they wouldn't possibly kill them either. They would just move out and let those cute little "animals" have the house to themselves. Please people - a fly is NOT an animal. It is an insect!!! The little pests can live if they stay off me, off of my animals and out of my house etc.... When they cross the line they're history!!

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Teen stabbed in dispute over boy | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

I will agree that having a terrible example may lead to bad choices, but there are so many kids out there who have had rotten upbringings and yet still turned into wonderful adults. My point is you can't always blame the parents. Somewhere along the way individuals need to be held accountable for their own actions. Having a bad upbringing is no excuse for violence or breaking the law. It makes it more understandable, but not acceptable.

Oh, I am so sick of everyone always blaming everything on "the parents". I'm not saying there aren't some kids out there who have had terrible parents or a bad upbringing, but there are also some great parents out there who have had kids that made some terrible decisions. Sorry, but a 15 year old girl should know the difference between right and wrong. Regardless of her upbringing, SHE made the decision to handle it that way. SHE is to blame - not her parents. I am certainly not going to take the blame for every stupid decision my kids have made. I believe they have been brought up in a loving home and have been taught what is right and what is wrong. They are pretty good kids, but they have occasionally made poor choices. Let's quit blaming the parents and start putting the blame where it belongs.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : TV\'s Jon and Kate draw more media attention | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Entertainment

I personally do not think anything was staged for publicity. I don't really follow this show, but my daughters watch and I have seen a few episodes here and there. What I do think is that the media loves to scrutinize every inch of a person's life if they are at all famous. They do whatever they can to create scandal and sell magazines. I'm not saying these situations haven't happened because they very well could have. That brings me to another point I would like to make. If you wish to have a successful marriage, whatever you do, DO NOT be filmed for a reality series. It has been the ruin of several marriages and I would not be surprised one bit if the Gosselins are next. Kate treats her husband like crap on national television. That would have a negative affect on any marriage.

Kate don't let all the creeps get you down. There are a lot of compassionate people in the world, unfortunately there are also a lot of creeps. Sometimes I'm not sure why I ever read the comments under these news articles because so many of the people who comment are extremely judgmental. The main thing to remember is that people will say a lot of things when they can remain anonymous. The food stamp system is there for a reason. If you need the help, take it, that is what it is there for.
