Mike's burogu : The Sterling Silver Collection

Not really looked at Cartier for pens - I'm not an MB purist, but the ratio of MB to other brands in my small collection.... probably makes me one :)

Check out CoreApp (https://github.com/bsodmike/CoreApp) if you're interested in setting up Cucumber with Guard+Spork for testing along with RSpec. Personally, I will be sticking to RSpec & Capybara, as I prefer Capybara's DSL.

Mike's burogu : Google to infinity and beyond. First, Google Plus (G+)

Oh indeed. The depth of integration between these services is the only way they will bring some coherence, previously lacking in their ecosystem - we are already seeing this via the action bar at the top. It's a small addition, but if you squint just right, Google's looking like an app...!

Mike's burogu : Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA Review by David Bialecki

Not too long ago I got this major hampering for a Submariner, GMTIIC SS, or DSSD. It wasn't long before I found myself back inside a Rolex boutique with all of them side by side. For starters, the lack of sub-tick marks around the entire circumference of the ceramic bezel didn't feel right to me and at least for the moment, I've dismissed the Submariner. As I've owned a TT GMTIIC before, I'm no strange to its profile or general look - so I guess my feeling towards it were a tad more biased. Roll on DSSD - Woah! It was stunning. The size of it was just shocking. There was no doubt that this represented over engineering at its finest but then put it on. What did I take off though? My lowly 36 mm DG 116201. The not-so-subtle weight difference and head flop was well noticeable, as once could imagine. At that moment, I was rather flummoxed as it seems the DSSD was't for me - at the time at least. Besides the head flop though, the curved crystal and bezel are quite simply...unbelievably gorgeous. So for the moment, I remain undecided. I'm hoping to revisit this conundrum during my next trip to Singapore and pickup whatever timepiece that sings to me then.

Mike's burogu : Burogu Theme on Mobile Device...

Heh thanks xD Do get to grips with JQuery; I personally liked MooTools as it's closer to the style of coding in raw JS - but most developers in industry tend to prefer JQ due to its ease of use and rapid development - the downside is knowing JQ doesn't mean you are good at coding in raw JS, and can lead to a rather sloppy coder...

Mike's burogu : Android fragmentation...it's the hardware too.

Don't get me started on the Tab ~ although it may play Angry Birds well, its browser performance with Flash enabled has been reported as quite sluggish. The Tab form factor feels wrong and Google has yet to officially support a 'tablet'; it will be a while till users start to see tablet specific Apps being designed ~ Angry Birds just scales up; it was never designed with that format in mind though. Even though Apple may appear to have higher fragmentation, by simply being unable to upgrade older hardware to the newer iOS variants it is implied that other versions of apps simply will not work and users cannot expect them to. If APL users want to play, they have to simply pay and move on to the newest version of whatever gadget out of 1 Infinite Loop. It is also not just this; APL with its popularity has this drive causing its user base to get the latest (and ditch the oldest...even at less than 6 months new). It would be interesting to see the shift of distribution stats for devices over the years...not that we will.

Quite frankly, if it wasn't for the current build of CyanogenMOD, my Android experience would be rather rubbish as well; rooting was a given to achieve this. Of course, things aren't perfect ~ just recently, the camera driver would essentially appear to 'hang' requiring a reboot to take further snaps... That said, the Google experience is obviously second to none though. Am completely *loving* all the integration and account syncing.

Well, even if I do say so myself, they *do* offer the best user experience hands down and those looking to 'jailbreak' are a real minority. It is also the most lucrative platform for mobile app development, and will continue to make developers think twice for this reason. Good example - Rovio charge for the iOS versions of Angry Birds and the Android version is offered as a free apk for the "rest" of us...
