The Foothill Cities Blog : MPOA Endorses Shaw, Citywatch Reports

Resident, the website is a group that represents many police officer associations. They are hardliners and back the POA's to get their share. MPOA is not publicly funded in the sense that their funds come through government. they depend on donations and fund raisers along with the dues that their members pay.

Hey truth, that was almost as juvenile a post as my Roger Johnson and the lube post. I will let you know why I back these two. Parry and Kemp are 2 of the very few people in this town that actually give a crap that our council are a gaggle of clowns. They go before the Council and give their opinions and have facts to back up their play. The rest of us come here and just bitch about. They bitch and they act. So, if I am considered a brown noser, cool, call my shade chocolate. As for you, you just come in here to bitch like the little kid that still gets his milk money stolen by the bully down the block. Good day, sir.

I have read a few things on the attorney and see that his organization is pretty heavy handed. On another note, I read Hammond's letter in the Star-News today. He refers to unions needing to have their members contribute to their own retirement. As I understand it, council members get lifetime medical and some sort of retirement for their service and they do not have to pitch in for it. How is that fair to the rest of the city employees? Why would someone who busted their backs in the city yard for 40 years be expected to help pay for their future coverage when a council person who gave 4 years gets his/hers for free? How fair is that? My information was provided to me by a city employee as to the council retirement & medical perks.

My comments about the malcontents are now done. People just comment for the sake of commenting. I hope Shaw gets elected. He is so different than the leadership that we now have and appears to be a breath of fresh air. He does not appear to be in the inner circle like many others that think Police Officers shouldn't write tickets for speeding because everyone does it, like another candidate has stated.

I am not calling anyone city hallers. I just have an issue with people coming in here and doing exactly what they bitch and complain about that is all. There are definitely city hallers on this blog and will always defend Adams, Hammond and their buddies.

CM, we should always question our leaders. We should question them when they constantly make decisions that are best for themselves. Is it OK for our leaders to berate citizens and we not respond? Is it OK for them to make statements that are patently false and just act as if they were never said? I believe that we should ALL be able to post our views and question those that we know are full of BS.

It sure is funny that those who bitch and whine about the content of this blog continue to come in and post and post and post and continue to stoke the fires of discontent. If the blog is that horrible, don't post or read. It is the same thing with TV and radio, if it is so bad turn the channel. It is so simple, if you do not like what you read, go to another blog. Create your own and just get out what you have building up inside. No one is asking any of us to partake in arguments and personal attacks. We are all here at our own accord. This has been going on for the 2 years that I have been involved on the blog. If you don't like Parry, big whoop. Don't slag the guy, just don't read about him and go on to another topic. I have fun here and poke at all kinds of folks and have taken shots from Tom, Truth In Media, , Concerned Monrovian and Monrovia City Watch because I had them coming. You put your neck out and it is bound to be stepped on.

The Foothill Cities Blog : Cognitive Dissonance? You Be The Judge

In the grand scheme of things, what good is having an IP address shown. Not many people know what it is and what info is there. It really makes no difference to me, personally. There are many people that post here that want no part of an IP address being published because it takes away some of their anonymity. That has been the issue for many folks for a period of time. I am sure that the majority of posters here would not have an opinion one way or the other on IP address issue. But here we are bickering over it like two old ladies. I am now letting go and moving on. Thanks for the witty banter

Centinel weighed in on the issue. This is his web site and not Parry's. You happen to be wrong, sir. Obviously you have some venom for Parry, which has been noticeable since you started posting. I could care less if he posts my IP. It doesn't out me. But, there have been many that have posted on this blog in the past that took shots at Police Officers in this city that were absolutely in bad taste. they just lacked the sack to back it up. When they were called on it, they chose to mount personal attacks on Parry and his affiliation with the VFW, amongst other things. If you don't like the guy, cool. He has been calling a spade a spade and you obviously cannot be outed. So be it. Grow up and quit yer bitchin'

This was a huge issue on the prior incarnation of the FCB. People felt that the IP being published went against the idea of blogging being totally anonymous. I believe that the IP would only be fully exposed if the poster gave consent. Please correct me if I am incorrect RCJP or Frazgo. This was a meaty issue back then.

The Foothill Cities Blog : Council Woman Lutz: Race Was A Factor in Violence

Now that Tom Adams and Rob Hammond are not calling the shots, she may be "free" to give her true opinion. May this be one of the issues that made Adams leave the council and not run for Mayor? I got a mailer the other day that had all of the incumbents encouraging us to vote to keep them in office. I threw up a little in my mouth. What are the chances that the next council votes in unison over 95% of the time?

Truth, I will not stoop and make launch a personal attack on someone that I do not know. However, running a campaign takes a lot of money, which I am not comfortable taking from others to push an agenda. I can have an opinion on how things are in a city where I own a home and pay taxes. So, I can rest at night knowing that I have a job being a clerk at the court while sit at the Myrtle off ramp asking for change. Good day, sir.

Having MPOA backing does not make someone a viable candidate. If Mr. Parry wanted to run, I highly doubt that his decision would ride on if they back him. Talk about narrow thinking. How many of us that have been thought of as racists, hatemongers and bloggers would want to be part of the structure that we would have no way of changing until the current council and their minions are gone. If some of us remember, the mentioned descriptors were used against many of we who post in open council meetings.
