I have the worst feeling that its going to a huge let down again this year. Cole going and no-one coming in. Lets hope I'm wrong

West Ham Till I Die : Keeping Boa Morte is a Retrograde Step

I am also baffled Goatygav, not for the same reasons as you though mate. I am Baffled how Iain Dale spends many a happy blog criticising fans and posters on this site for booing or slagging players off when he blogs about Boa-Morte like he does. I guess he is a bit like most of his Tory mates, a hypocrite

West Ham Till I Die : Grant Deal Nearly Done?

Oh dear, the silly story season has started. Any manager who has been mentioned would be better then Zola. Zola is a nice guy and I hope he has another chance somewhere but he was thrown in at the deepend with the sharks and it was all to much for the fella in his first managerial role. I am still hoping Mark Huges gets a call.. I can see why most on here are not to sorry to hear Cole, Upson and Green may leave. After last season, only perhaps Parker come out with any real credit. But all three of the above England players have some qualities and we would need to replace them with better, how would Gold and Sullivan do that when reinforcements are needed anyway. Without Cole possibly leaving, we need two strikers, another quality centerback, a right back and a leftback. Like most fans i speak to, I can not get to excited about what may happen, I need the summer break to recharge after a dreadful season ..

West Ham Till I Die : Gold & Sullivan's Ten Point Plan!

Not been posting on this site for a few months, see your still on the same crusade against Gold and Sullivan. Good to see somethings don't change. Hope to see you at one or two games next year, but I guess being in Ireland, its difficult. I guess your opinion that the banks that controlled the club before was better then Gold and Sullivan still stands? Keep it up mate, LOL

West Ham Till I Die : Gold & Sullivan's Ten Point Plan!

IMHO This pledge is a step in the right direction. The new owners have had alot of stick on here and other fan sites, rightly so most of the time but not all. The facts are, the football the team played was crap last season, far far worse then at any time even under Curbishley. Zola, however much likeable, was out of his depth and had to go. It was Zola who insisted n bringing in the useless signing of McCarthy, before that we was going to build our team around Jimenez. Tactics was a mess, we was lucky to stay up. Most seasons 35pts would be relegation. All I am trying to say is that this summer and next season should be the time we start judging how good or bad Sullivan and Gold are for our club, not what has happened so far. They could not really do anything during the season and halfway during the January transfer window is not the right time to start looking for the quality players we need. Lets start now with a clean slate and wait and see before throwing abuse in Gold and Sulivans direction.

West Ham Till I Die : Who Should Partner Cole?

It has to be Cole and Mido, with Ilan on the bench. Great to have options though. McCarthy looks like a waste of money so far, over weight and unfit. Maybe next year he will come good but thats not what we need now. Franco is still a week or two away from being fit and its nice that we dont have to rush him back and risk him breaking down again. Fans have been critical of the new owners, but these options will hopefully see us safe this season.

I think most fans on here are right behind Zola and the team, but lets face facts.Zola has brought the club to where we are now, not Gold or Sullivan, there comments might not of helped this week but the three strikers they brought in last week should.

At last a reasonable post. It's true, Gold and Sullivan should a little less vocal about cost cutting but recent poor results and whatever happens in tomorrows game can only be levelled at the team manager. Is he not the one who has put us in this position. Most people tell me we have a better team then those around us. Zola it appears, is now starting to hide behind the off field matters rather then take some responsibilty himself. I think just because he is very likable, he has got of lightly.

I am still 90% behind Zola and Clark, The other 10% can't understand how the team has forgot how to play with Cole in the side. The midfield looked so out of contact with the front two for most of the match yesterday it looked like they had never seen each other before. I think Mido should start on Wednesday with Cole. McCarthy didn't show anything yesterday to keep his place in the side.

West Ham Till I Die : Can the Club Land Huntelaar?

That is exactly what Gold and Sullivan are saying, survival this season is the only goal. Investing in players in January is never easy, they cost more and normally are not wanted by the clubs they are at. They have stated that building for the future wil begin after this first target is met. I do agree with most of what Celtic has said about bringing players who want to be here and see their future at West Ham but Gold and Sullivan has said the same thing. If they said that no players would be coming in January unless they met that criteria and didn't bring anyone in, they would be accused of risking the clubs premiership status. I seem to think Celtic is looking at it from the wrong perspective. Lets give Gold and Sullivan the benefit of the doubt. I for one have been quite impressed with what they have had to say so far, regarding their vision and the passion for the club. It makes a welcome change thinking about bringing players in rather then players leaving the club.

Celtic, I have to laugh, as soon as I saw the headline, I knew you would jump all over it. Its a silly idea and one that The Sun in all likelyhood suggested or made up.
West Ham Till I Die : Could We Buy 10% of West Ham?

We have tried the billionaire owner approach, it backfired big time, as it could so do at Man City or Chelski when they get bored. As for moving to the Olympic Stadium, why not, I have been going to Upton Park for the past 35 years, 20+ of those as a season ticket holder. it holds a special place in my heart and has some great memories hopefully with lots more to come, but lets face it, Arsenal have moved, Spurs are planning too so why not us. Upton park can never really be developed to more the 45k. A chance to move into a new stadium at a fraction of a cost of having to build one is far to good an opputunity to dismiss out of hand. OK the running track would have to go, if we do that then we should do everything we can to get it.
