Does anyone know an easy way to set a single ringtone for all unknown callers?
It is something I miss from my old Palm Centro. Callers not in my address book had a specific ringtone by default. Apple should have done it, but betting there are smart people reading this that would rather not wait for Apple.
Obviously it it is possible now to set a specific ringtone for each and every caller in the address book, and then the default ringtone would server to identify the unknown callers. But this is something I didn't have time to do when it was just a few hundred contacts, now it is thousands. Can't be the only one looking for a solution. iBlacklist and mCleaner let you block, but don't have ringtone settings. Sometimes you don't want to block too, maybe just want to know they are unknown.
While I'm ranting...
In the Call Log, is there any way to change the default color or the incoming calls to anything other than Red? Should be Green, or something.
Dev-Team guys you are all awesome!

FIXED: SEE UPDATE BELOW
This might be important for those on T-mobile (US):
I have been using MMS successfully for a while on both a 3GS 3.1.2 (JB, blackra1n) and 3G 3.1.2 (JB, pwnage) and everything was OK until about December 1, 2009. Since then the 3G can send and receive MSS but the 3GS can only send.
On the 3GS I get an error message:
"The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction"
All settings for T-Mobile MMS were correct, before and since. And they work on the 3G. DId try to reset the message size, reset Network Settings, and later reset all Settings on the 3GS. So far, can still only send, can't receive - and this is only MMS, but any image size. (Tested with a 10K image, 50x50 pixels, still didn't come through. I can still SEND MMS from both devices, can receive regular SMS on both devices.
Wondering if T-Mobile made some network level changes. Just thinking it isn't a coincidence it happened exactly 12/1/09. I asked customer service, but they didn't know.
Anyone else seeing something similar?
Any good solution to bringing back MMS receive capability?
Any help would be appreciated

UPDATE: FIXED MMS RECEIVE!!! Happy! Legacy carrier files in Cydia did fix things. Device and OS version specific when you're looking. Also good with tethering. Brought back MMS send/receive functions to what they were before. Fairly certain it was a server-side change at T-mobile. Heard similar stories from Blackberry users same timeframe.

Got a brand new 3GS (locked) which sadly has 3.1 installed already.
Want to Jailbreak and Unlock that new 3GS
Humbly asking the Jedi Masters what are my options, other than waiting patiently for your new tools update?
Is there away to use the fireware updated IPSW from the successfully unlocked and jailbroken 3G on the 3GS? Wary of trying anything until sure.
Used PwnageTool 3.1, have downloaded current Pwnage Tool.
That 3G is running 3.1 and used ultrasn0w via Cydia. The 3G is running solidly, only issue is missing carrier logos but all else seems fine. Took several tries to get the 3G working, was mostly getting "invalid firmware for this device" errors , sometimes with the same bundle each time. But the last IPSW worked, and that one was saved. 3G has been good on 3.1 since. Next challenge is that 3GS. Right now, the 3GS is still in the box.
It would be nice to have the 3GS unlocked and jailbroken too. What is the safest path now the new signing of updates is history?
T-Mobile is the destination if that matters.
Any help is welcome and appreciated.
