I still want to enjoy everything else this site has to offer. I just wish we could filter content. Much like I'm sure there will be some that don't want to view Them's Fightin Herds content. Sure just tell people to leave. Or you know, expect people to have differing opinions on things and express said opinions.

No unicorns, no Pegasus, no dragons, or any of the dozens of cool mythological creatures we've seen (with the exception of the dazzlers for like a few seconds of screen-time they were sirens). No going on epic adventures. No interesting new lands with unique civilizations (like the Crystal Empire). All is replaced with characters whose odd designs and strange skin tones were made solely to compete with Monster High. And the whole thing is set in high-school instead of the awesome universe of our little ponies. Yep other than that, just like FiM.

Better these posts than the posts related to Equestria Girls. Them's Fightin Herds at least feels like it's set in the FiM universe given the obvious source of the artwork and the game's doomed predecessor. Doesn't hurt that the game looks like it's going to be a blast with an awesome soundtrack to boot!

The hiatus in the middle of the season after an already long hiatus for the start of the season probably didn't help much. Plus there's heavy competition from other shows right now. :( Either way the show has still got at least one more season to go! :)

I don't see the problem with it, within reason. As long as it doesn't fundamentally change the show or the lessons it presents then I don't see it being an issue. They're just nice nods to a fun-loving community of fans. Some got waaaay too bent out of shape over the 100th episode special. It was like the special for Stargate SG-1; it was meant to be over the top and have lots of jokes for the fans. Taking things like this too seriously will make you cranky and miserable.
