Criminals will get their guns whether it is legal or not. Changing the laws will not affect that.
What it will affect is our ability to protect ourselves legally from these people who will break the law no matter what.

If I had been required to stay in class even longer I would never have been able to participate in after school sports and go to a job as well. Not when I needed at least 15 hours of work a week just to pay for everything that I had to.
Seriously, what is Obama thinking?
Besides, if we had more quality teachers who actually cared how the students did and their education, then we wouldnt need more hours added to the student day.
When I was in high school I had some of the worst teachers around. They didnt teach, didnt explain and really didnt care whether you graduated or not.
Think about it Obama. It's just not logical to add more hours. Besides, we have enough problems with money right now for regular school hours. Where are you going to come up with the funds to add even more?
Just not thinking straight. But you havent really since youve been elected. Not a big surprise.

Maybe during elementary and junior high these extra hours may be of some use. But take into consideration the attention span of these young kids. Just because you add more hours, does not mean they will pay attention.
Second, what about all those high school students? The ones that have school till 230-3pm, then sports practices that run for a few hours, and then all of those kids that NEED to work. Where are they going to get that time.
When I was in high school I needed a job. It was just because for extra money, but I was required to pay for my own car, pay insurance, gas and for anything else I needed.
