Two of the greatest authors I know and HIGHLY recomend to you are AYN RAND and FREDERIC BASTIAT. Ehile Bastiat is not easy reading he has great ideals. Ayn Rand is my all time favorite author and has ideals that match Bastiats.

I havn't read Thomas Paine but I have read Ayn Rand and Frederic Bastiat, two authors seperated by a century but very smart. They both wrote strongly about man's individual rights.

I think the Independence Parties need to focus on one thing, Freedom. Freedom from Government. All the Government is supossed to do is protect the INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE, not spend trillions of $$ so everyone can have free healthcare, wether they like it or not.

to add to my comment, I think this should be the first thing in overhauling our healthcare system. Instead of growing it to even more people who don't deserve I say we limit it to those who have done everything to help themselves but still ABSOLUTELY need help. Not just the single mother, drug addict with no job.

About a week ago KPisupati posted saying that we should give drug tests to those on welfare. I say we go a step further and say that anyone recieving money from the government wether it be welfare or healthcare should not be allowed to do ANYTHING detrimental to themselves. No drugs, No alcohol, nothing. If they want government help they need to at least help themselves.
