I taught computing to students. I told them that Wikipedia was an almost perfect resource for Mathematics (forever) and for most Computing subjects (currently). I did not teach politics, but at the same time I also mentioned that you would not be able to get the truth about global politics from Wikipedia.

Thankyou very much Rambo. That was the help that I was looking for. In case it is removed from the ".press" domain, the IP is currently 94.58.88.47.

P.S. British challenger tanks were hyped, even as the UK insisted that the tanks must not be used in action. Now some of them were used in action and are burning. The BBC now insisted that the following wasn't really destroyed, but was repairable:-

"Soon U.S. chip companies will have lost all their sales to the second largest smartphone producer of the world. That loss will not be just temporarily, it will become permanent."

I do not wish that on the USA. It did not need to happen, but neocons made it happen. The war on both Russia and China by USA neocons and their lackeys around the western world has catapulted BRICS to become a rival to the US empire. It did not need to happen, but neocons made it happen. The homelessness, lack of healthcare, and perilous financial state of the USA did not need to happen, but neocons made it happen.

humright99 above has it right. Its time for change, real change. Its time to ditch Blinken and Nuland and all the rest of the neocons. Without a total change in attitude, the USA will be destined for some hard times.

Does anyone know what happened to southfront.org? My web browser cant even discover any IP number for that URL. My web browser gives the message:-

"Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at southfront.org."

I know that the USA has not simply parked the domain, as it normally does when people don't renew the payment for the URL. Instead, it has censored it by surgically removing the domain name from the ".org" domain servers. Southfront.org may still exist at the same IP number (which I never recorded) under another URL, but I dont know it. Can anyone help?

"The Maui fires, especially in Lahaina, were it seems, completely staged and intentional."

I'm suspicious, but I will withhold judgement for a while before deciding what really happened here.

I followed your link, and learned.

Britain's leading role in the overthrow of Libya and in promoting the Ukraine war has been a puzzle to me. Why do they hate Trump, and why did the economic basket case that is the UK do all that it did? What was the British SAS doing in Libya prior to its demolition? why did Boris Johnson trash the Istanbul agreements that Zelenski made with Russia? Why did the UK push Russia-gate? The linked article provided glue that helped me to put the pieces together.

There is no reason that even the USA should not join
The USA was invited to join China's Belt and Road initiative. China even offered to build an underground rail across the Bering strait, which would have placed the USA in the enviable position of being the rail gateway for all of the americas, but the USA refused.

I thank Caitlin for her article, which expresses perfectly my disgust regarding Australia's sycophantic grovelling to our USA masters and warmongering that is completely counter to our interests.

The post above by Jack Lomax got it right. This is one of the effects of the USA overthrow of Australia's prime minister in 1975, and the lesser coup more recently, overthrowing Kevin Rudd. Since 1975, Australian politicians have understood who controls our media and which way the wind blows. Failing to genuflect to Washington results in a loss of career.

The problem is that genuflecting to Washington makes us do things that will ruin this country for the benefit of the USA military industrial complex. I curse our current Prime minister Albanese and his key ministers that are taking us down this sycophantic path to our ruin in order to benefit their own careers. The post above by Shaz48 also got it right. Our masters in Washington do not care and take no responsibility for what they do to other countries.

I wish for a Prime Minister that I could respect - one that would lead us to independence, sovereignty and strength. Unfortunately such a Prime Minster would not last very long in Australia.

Sanctions, sanctions, sanctions on every country that does not sufficiently genuflect to the USA and allow its resources to be exploited without hinderance. The BRICS blowback is welcome change. If you enforce western sanctions, then you cannot join BRICS. Sanctioning those that join BRICS will not work, because the primary motivation for BRICS is to make sanctions worthless.

Soon, sanctions may no longer work on BRICS nations, but countries joining BRICS still need to watch out, because the empire has plenty of other tools in its coercion toolbox to pressure nations into capitulation. These tools include control of the media, bribery, extortion, election interference, regime change, arming and facilitating internal strife, and if all that fails, war (for freedom and democracy, of course), either directly or by using a proxy.

Australia's media slavishly follows CIA narratives, and politicians who fail to kowtow to the empire are easily replaced.

Nothing you said is true. The statements you made are only true in the fantasy world of the western media.

* "... Russia is collapsing ...": Unlike the EU, Russia is thriving.

* "... Ukrainian high command being wasteful of the lives of its soldiers, ...". Russia has lost 1 soldier for ever 8 Ukranian soldiers.

* "... the Ukrainian offensive has not achieved a breakthrough. This could change ...". Its over. This USA war, using Ukranian proxies, has utterly failed. Exactly how it will end is not clear, but the Ukraine is out of men to be press ganged into the war.

You have not woken up to the fact that you have been lied to comprehensively from the get go. Just so you know, Saddam Hussain was never threatening the world with WMD, and ISIS in Syria was funded, armed and trained by the USA. The west did not destroy Libya in order to protect it. Hunter Biden's laptop was not actually Russian disinformation, even though 40 USA intelligence agencies insisted that it was. Geoffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. It breaks my heart to see members of the general public still taking the western media at face value. The tooth fairy and father Christmas are not actually real either.
