Kudos to Dershowitz for stepping in. "Blood libel" has long-held idiomatic acceptance as that which may describe or relate to an ad hominem hatred wherein that hatred bears false accusations towards the hated party. Palin was spot-on in employing it so. *And, thus far, at least three of the victims have been identified as Jewish (Phyllis Schneck, Gabe Zimmerman, and Giffords).

How is it that it is always those whose lifetime tax input wouldn't prove sufficient enough to run a city street-sweeper for 45 minutes who think to opine on America's financial aid to Israel? (Which, incidentally, results in a net loss, in the tens of billions of dollars, to Israel, every year while bringing America a windfall of a return on her investment). I say those who actually pay taxes in America (the Warren Buffetts, the Bill Gates', the Steve Jobs', the Ronald Lauders, the Ronald Perelmans -- all of whom are staunch Israel supporters [as is the normative tax-paying American]) are entitled to as much a say as to how and where their money is spent as are the ignorant, officious-mannered non-contributers such as yourself.
