It is so funny looking back at this. Mickey Rourke played kind of a fusion of Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo and Samuel L. Jackson was in Iron Man 2 AND The Avengers, not to mention Thor and Captain America.

I said an alternate universe is created at every possible decision. The one where Link fails is one of those. If it can happen in the Zelda universe, it did.
