And while narcotics lead to heroin addiction, cutting back on the prescriptions also leads to street drugs. I say start out with mmj, make it legal all across the country and voila, you will see a precipitous drop in painkiller deaths.

Wanna bet that he has been targeted for a witch hunt because he practices integrative/alternative/complementary medicine? He has had a great reputation around Boulder for years. He is not known to be a pill pusher. Not only that, but even if he sloppily prescribed Oxycodone on occasion, the only money he made was from the office visits. More than likely he thought he was helping someone live with his pain. Probably the undercover detective was trying to get out of even having an appointment so he could set him up. Not like Dr. Eckstein is running a pill mill. Nice to know that our taxpayer dollars are being used wisely to investigate true crime - NOT!!!!!

Um, no. Naropa definitely is negligent here (and so arrogant) and justice needs to be served. I really hate the way "forgiveness" is used here, as if the Sterns going after this sociopath and this pseudo university is somehow "not spiritual" and they should just let it go. That is the biggest misunderstanding of "forgiveness" I have ever heard. I think the Sterns are using their pain to educate others about the dangers of indoctrination into cults or interactions with sociopaths and I think that is something that needs to be done. And when those people have children, their children are probably more disposed to such "disorders" , whether they're vaccinated or not." Also, if you want to keep your children healthier, stop feeding them sugar, gluten, and processed foods, feed them more organic fresh fruits and vegetables and let them play outdoors more and less on the computer/TV. I would surmise that the more vulnerable children in this population whether vaccinated or not, are the ones who eat crap because their parents know nothing about nutrition and let their kids eat fruit loops and poptarts in front of the TV, etc.

Every single war and act of evil throughout the history of humankind has involved religion. Think about it. I suppose religion was created to function for some as a sort of moral compass to keep people from doing bad things to each other (big brother, I mean "God" is watching me steal that cookie so I'd better not or I will go to hell) but mostly it is a grand opiate that serves to control people and keep them enslaved. But whatever. The way huge for-profit organizations indoctrinate people and call themselves "churches" all the while wanting money and power and to escape taxes is a very old, sad story. Too bad it is happening so close to home and utterly destroying a whole community.

Um, there is a power differential that you are not acknowledging. She, a student, was dependent upon the male professors for her evaluations. A code of silence existed among the old boys club of perpetrators and they silenced the student in order to for her to successfully obtain her degree.
