Cry me a river. Label it "disgusting" and move on because debating what was posted is apparently too difficult for you. Do you hate Bush? What about Rummy? Hypocrites.

Much like a parrot Allbequal is incapable of original thought. Look at this letter: apparently in agreement enough to post support but unable to defend the thought in any way. What a weak and sad belief system.

The fact nobody has the guts to take this perfectly worded response on says a lot about the opposition.

How quickly the braindead progressives forget the hatred and lack of respect shown to Bush. From day one he "stole" the presidency and after 9/11 he was accused of orchestrating it. Honestly, if that hadn't happened the letter writer may have a valid point, but considering the context of the words used, this person doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Considering the geology, drill depth, borehole size, pressures, objectives, and fundamental processes are completely different a reasonable person should conclude the study has no impact on policy regarding fracking in Colorado. Pumping water into the ground in a completely different geological formation in another state has no relevance on fracking here. None whatsoever.

Close. What I say is 1) we should be mining the products here in the USA, where we do it better than anyone else, and 2) we should only buy and use what we need. I have mined literally thousands of ounces of gold and silver and I own no jewelry - after digging one body out of the ground, and pulling two more out from bad air, I don't need it anymore. If the average person knew what it took to make the stuff we use, they would use a lot less of it.

Would you please go back to the top of the page and actually read the letter I am trying to discuss? As you will see it is a statement about public policy. My experience and education as an engineer is directly relevant to letter. You are the only one talking about AGW as it is now plainly obvious you are not intelligent enough to speak to the letter.

Debate in the normal world: one begins by stating an opinion and/or making a point. The following people agree or disagree and say why. Debate in tandp world: Someone states an opinion. Tandp comes along and posts about stuff that has nothing to do with that topic, and somehow thinks it is valid.

Initially I was surprised at your idiocy; I don't know why I was to be honest. You consume resources and emit pollution an order of magnitudes greater than 90% of the rest of the world by just living in America. In your lifetime you will consume almost 73, 000 gallons of petroleum, 5.93 million cubic feet of narural gas, 41, 000 pounds of cement, 14, 000 pounds of iron ore, and 932 pounds of copper just to name a few. On top of that, I bet you own a bunch of stuff that adds REEs to the list, like smartphones, big screen TVs, lithium batteries, etc. Your lifestyle is one of the most polluting on the planet, and there you sit, completely freaking clueless. I didn't think it was possible, but I lost even more respect for you and your "opinions".

Hydraulicing is a method using high pressure water to blast away and move large quantities of loose dirt and rock. You can still see the scars in CA where some of the first environmental legislation in the US banned the practice now over 100 years ago. You are welcome.

Every time you see a solar panel, or a windmill, think of a giant hole around 1000 times the size of what you are looking at, with a pile of finely ground rock dust (which in REE deposits tends to contain sulfides and toxic metals)twice the size of the first pile next to it. Next to that, imagine thousands of gallons of tainted, toxic, sludge filled water being dumped into a river, just upstream of the drinking water inlet for a small Chinese village. That is where your solar panel and windmill came from. That is where your hybrid was built.

I do not deny that the climate changes. I just don't give enough of a crap to change.. anything. And I am skeptical of the science, just as I am skeptical of the science and engineering surrounding fracking, which I think may be a huge mistake - on both topics time will tell and we will both be long dead before the truth is actually revealed. On the other hand, you do believe, and yet you continue to consume and emit as if nothing was wrong - seemingly purely because your belief makes it ok, or makes you better than others.

So just to review here: The letter is about injection drilling in OK, and how that would apply to policy here in CO.. My point, which is that someone who doesn't know the difference between injection wells and fracking doesn't have a valid enough opinion about either to direct policy. You made no attempts to speak to that point. Now you trying to make fun of me for doing exactly the same thing you have done - deny, or be skeptical of, the VAST scientific consensus, which is that drilling is safe and fracking is safe. *facepalm* If you want to try to speak to some of what I have talked about, go for it, otherwise you can continue on in your little oblivious world.
