Perfect example of Government Gone Wild. But the government is the people. The people vote for these rules and regulation. So in all honesty, there is no one to blame but our liberal leaning selves. All the liberals that have come here from California and New York want to continue their wrath of oppression here in this once great state. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! People, WAKE UP! See what is going on around you. Stop the rules. Stop the regulation. It's out of control.
Problem is, 98% of you are quite honestly to ignorant to understand what you are voting for during our elections. If you truly understood the consequences of your vote you wouldn't vote the way you do. No one (maybe 5% of the population) like the insane rules and regulations in Boulder County. But you all voted for it. Funny how people love voting for a rule that prohibits someone else from doing something, then bitches and complains when those same rules cause them headaches.
Stop voting for these rule and regulation crazy liberals!

You mean the new uniforms didn't make our team better? How weird. They must be defective.

Yes, what a great idea. Let's give even more power to the city to tell us what to do. Are you F*&#(@G kidding me! This is insane. How can anyone in their right mind even consider this as being ok? You Boulder Liberal nut jobs really are insane. In any other town I would be shocked at this even being discussed. Leave it to Boulder to control EVERYTHING we do.
Does anyone in this town realize what yesterday was? It was a day in which we celebrate and reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could live as free people. By even discussing this you are stomping on the memories and graves of all those who sacrificed everything to fight this exact kind of oppression. I'm seriously really angry about this! Words can't describe how much I hate this kind of thinking.

Reading the title of the article I was pretty ashamed of Askia. However after reading the article it seems he's making the decision with the best interest of the team in mind. So I would say good on him.
However I'm pretty bummed about Tad's role in this. He should be pushing his guys to crush it in this tournament instead of acting like it's a practice. This is still this seasons team and it's still this season. They should be playing to show that they are way better than the way they have played.
Someone else eluded to this in a past article, but if they don't want to take the CBI seriously then they should play hard enough so they never play in this tournament again. Tad is not pushing the guys enough. I like Tad but I'm not crazy about the way he has coached the last few months.

Sounds suspicious to me.. Go get em' Bob! Don't know the details but I've lived here long enough to know that hill and what is likely going on. So my opinion, they are just bad people who like to use their money to blame others for their poor investment or whatever it is.
But don't worry. Common sense will prevail and this lawsuit will be thrown out. People like this don't have any friends, certainly no friends that like them. So even if their money can buy a winning lawsuit. They are losers because know-one likes them and they are miserable people inside.

So tired of hearing people bitch about "Fracking". Even with $2/gallon gas people are still to ignorant to understand how this all works. Go spend 40K on a Prius and get off the grid. Oh, wait, you can't do that. Your Prius uses electrical power which is generated by coal. But you don't like coal because it's dirty. So how can we generate electricity cleanly?
Hmm. SOLAR! It's amazing and super clean. But it's only 19% efficient and only works when the sun is out. But look, I can make a 300lb car move 50' just from the sun. Oh yeah, it takes on average 15 years to pay of the outrageous costs. Ok. Go buy a solar aray to charge your Prius and tell me how efficient that is.
That's fine. We love wind. We can blow the car all the way down the highway. It's fantastic. Oh, but the windmills are ugly, very expensive, only work between 10 and 11mph sustained wind speeds.
NO. It's called NATURAL GAS! More than 50% cleaner than oil and way cleaner than coal. It's EVERYWHERE! And it's extracted here in the United States! It's super cheap and super safe!
But no. We don't want it here. We care about the planet so much that we don't want to drill here.
So we are going to pay $4+ a gallon so foreign countries can take our money, pump gas and oil out of the ground with virtually zero regulation and dictate future prices of energy.
How is that helping the U.S. or our planet?

9 years ago @ Daily Camera.com: - Regulators: Encana dri... · 1 reply · +2 points

I understand their pain and technically it is apparently above required noise levels. But I have to agree with omahaslim. Drilling has been going very strong in that area of the state for ten years now. If you didn't know the risks/downsides to buying out there that's your fault. It's like buying a house next to an airport, or a train, and then complaining about it. What were you expecting? Birds and crickets 24/7?

At the same time Encana needs to step up to the plate and lower the noise level ASAP to save face. Oil & Gas companies have made great strides in customer relations and safety in the last 20 years. But they still have a long way to go to shake off 50 years of bad blood. So they have no room for error in this public opinion environment.

If they (meaning Encana and other Oil & Gas companies) take care of issues such as this quickly and communicate well with the area residence, they will continue to improve public relations and start gaining stronger support for the energy industry as a whole.

Damn, you beat me to the exact quote I wanted to reference.
"Boulder leaders should decide what they want the city to look like and then develop a code that tells architects how to meet that vision"
Since when did we give our "leaders" the power to plan OUR city and OUR buildings? What right do our "leaders" think they have to dictate what private property owners do to their property? There are basic rules and codes in place that should be followed. After that the property owner can design as they please. It's their property, not the cities. The Land Use Codes have gone WAY far enough in Boulder and Boulder County.
Are any of you aware that in order to be ALLOWED to apply for a permit to build, you must first apply for a "Site Plan Review". That costs over $1000 just to see if the County will ALLOW YOU to build on YOUR property. This is insanity! Boulder and the liberal nut jobs have single handily destroyed American values of 'life liberty and property" 14th Amendment people! What is it with this town that is so willing to throw away our rights. Stop telling everyone what to do and mind your own business.

"We're Boulderites," Mielke said. "We are sympathetic and empathetic to their situation."
That's your problem. Stop being sympathetic p*%%(#s and get them out of here. How... I'm not exactly sure but I know there is an answer.
