"Cain, a 65-year-old radio host from Georgia who has never before held elected office and is vying to become the first ever African-American presidential nominee for the Republican Party, continues to do defy the odds." WRONG. Cain is vying to become the first African-American presidential nominee ever for any party. He is the real thing, an American descended from American slaves. He's Black with a capital B. He is as down home American Black as chitterlings and cornbread. Unlike the current dark skinned occupant of the White House who has zero slave blood. Heck, I"m white skinned and I'm more African-American than Obama. I'm 14% Sub-Saharan African verified by DNA analysis. Pure slave blood, y'all! That makes me Black with a capital B. Unlike small b Obama.

The operation should have been kept secret. They didn't want the preacher to burn the Koran because it would endanger the troops. Then they publicized this assassination. What happened to the concern for the troops? Obama's approval numbers are more important apparently. Shame on them.

There is much that lends itself to ridicule in the illegal alien culture. So what? Is making jokes about Mexicans an act of "racism"? No. Because Mexican is not a race it is a nationality. In fact Mexicans are largely of the Caucasian race having deep roots in Spain. I'm Spanish, Native American and Sub-Saharan African with a touch of Asian. I have all the bases covered. Go ahead and make fun of me. I love ethnic and racial funnies especially when I'm the butt of the joke. It's called humor and it's good for the soul.

Breitbart.com : Tired of violence, Mexicans ready for mass protests

Pension is good, Rocky. Thanks for asking. I was a true believer once. I was sworn to enforce the law and I believed in what I was doing. I enjoyed chasing crooks and it was a thrill to snap the cuffs on violators. Two of my colleagues lost their lives to smugglers early in my career and that colored my point of view for many years. Few people were more committed to the job than I was. If I didn't have a great wife I would have been divorced. I was married to the work. Then I grew up. I transfered to fraud investigations and wrapped up my last few years doing that. I'm getting bored with this thread. Boriqua - Going 10-7. Over and out.

Tyler. Where did you get those numbers? 250%? The drug market is saturated my friend. Everybody who wants drugs has access - even inside our prisons. If the gov't regulated and controlled drug sales as they do liquor in state run stores it would be under better control than it is now. We have the technology to clamp down on drug use - it it's legal. Kids would not be able to get it as easily as they do now. The other numbers you cite are also puzzling. Where did you get those? Most of the heroin used in the US is used by a small number of hardcore addicts. That number would remain pretty much the same. And the street crime related to drugs is something like 90%. Any cop who is being honest will tell you that, if you legalized drugs, the crime rate would plummet. People don't commit crimes because they are high. They commit crimes so they can get high. I can't say this enough times: If they had left cocaine in Coca-cola we would not have crack and cartels today. Wouldn't that be nice?

Jimbo. Any substance can be harmful. Too much water can kill you. Too much food can kill you for sure. Do you think the gov't should enforce how much we eat? Seriously? I don't drink, smoke or use any drugs. I'm a health and fitness nut But that doesn't change the fact that, if I chose to use marijuana for instance, the gov't has no business inserting itself in my life choices. It's my life and my body and as long as I make an informed choice - it's none of the gov't's business. You may wonder how a former drug warrior came to this frame of mind. I saw the so called war on drugs from the inside out. It ain't pretty. It's a sham. It's about money and power. It's not and has never been about the common good. At one time I was a clear eyed true believer willing to risk my life to chase down smugglers. Then I grew up. The truth is that the prohibition created the problem. That is history. Check it out. The solution is to lift the prohibition. Boriqua Over and Out.

Jimbo. Do I understand the legal process? I'm a retired drug warrior with a 27-yr career behind me. Of course the gov't has the legal authority to enforce laws on an ILLEGAL drugs. I put my life on the line to enforce those laws - and I had a great time doing it by the way. The question is does the Constitution give the gov't the right to make a substance illegal? Then answer is no. And the Supreme Court overturned the first marijuana laws on that basis. If you know what I know about the war on drugs from the inside out, you wouldn't be so adamant in your opinion. Believe me. I know what I'm talking about.

Rocky: All drugs including heroin were legal in the US with no major problems before the prohibition. The prohibition created the drug cartels just like the alcohol prohibition created organized crime. The federal gov't at first did not want to be involved in drug prohibition because it was patently unconstitutional. There is nothing in the constitution that gives the gov't that authority over free citizens. The first marijuana laws were overturned by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional. Drug laws were all about politics and money. And they continue to be. Talk to people who know? I'm a retired drug warrior with a 27-year career behind me. I know what the drug war is about inside and out. Don't talk to me. Listen to me. I know what I'm talking about.

The US started the drug problem with the unconstitutional prohibition. If they had left cocaine in Coca Cola we would not have cartels today. Mexico would be a poor and peaceful neighbor, a great place to vacation. It's time to reverse that terrible error and decriminalize drugs. The cartels will starve to death as dollars remain in the US. It's ridiculous that in this country abortion is legal but smoking a joint is a crime. Where is the perspective? I know the Founding Fathers did not intend for the government to dictate to adult citizens what they can or cannot do with their own bodies.

I hear ya. But there are other options that would be accurate and not prejudicial to the defendant like "charged with shooting" or "indicted in the shooting". AP or not, those writers are supposed to be proficient in English. Once a person is arrested he is no longer a suspect or person of interest. He's indicted and becomes a defendant. That's the way I see it.

LMAO. Over forty years ago a shipmate in the submarine service called me a spigger (half spic and half nigger). I fired back calling him a chonky (half chalk and half honky). After that the shit was on. Actually he was correct about my heritage although in a vulgar way. My DNA indicates that my ancestry is most likely European, African and Indigenous, and the European part is definitely Spanish. Anyway, my shipmates and I began combining words, often with hilarious results. My favorite was breach (bro on the beach). I have a pal who still calls me breach after all these years. That was about the time I invented rap. A few beers would induce me to rattle off strings of rhyming couplets. I had no idea then that I had started a million dollar industry. This is all true stuff. Believe it or not.
