Wed, 23 Jun 2010 05:17:04 +0000 http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/726179754#IDComment81593595 http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/726179754#IDComment81494462 i didn't realize i could "download only" the firmware from apple in itunes because i have always used the hack that phone site (a great resource) and downloaded both pwnage and the apple software from there. someone posted the apple firmware on modmyi and as i'm downloading it, it has the word "restore" before the .ipsw. in a subsequent post it was said that the pwnage tool needed the apple firmware to not have the word restore in it and to rename it removing "restore". what's the best course here. use the firmware? rename it? or start from scratch in itunes?
