I was upset with this so I contacted the RBL to explain once again the sponsorship was an independent one and that I was sadened by the decision. A week later I get an email from the RBL with an apology for the mix up and they would be more than happy to take the money, so basically the journalist got a piece of mind for twisting things, then came the retraction.
