As for voting, we can pursue the following change in our primaries - continue to allow individual party registrants to vote for their individual party's candidates. For "independents" though, we should consider modifying the currently accepted practice of denying "independents" the vote for primary candidates, to listing "all parties' candidates and independent candidates on an "Independents' ballott", thereby permitting "an Independent" the right to vote in the primary for any candidate running for office, regardless of party affiliation. The top winning candidates from each party or indepent affiliation in a primary would all be placed on the general election ballots. I ponder how many registered voters would switch from their current party affiliations to the "Independent" affiliation? Hey, this is a think piece and work in progress, so let us hear some more intelligent and positive input.

Big government is the problem. We, the electorate, have permitted our "needed government "to become the "big problem government" we now have. Let us start taking our government back. This will take several elections, as crawling and small steps must take place before we all can walk proudly again. In that regard, next time you are in a crowd preparing to enjoy a sporting event, a public theater or stage show, a high school musical or in your own religious house of worship, before the proceedings start, stand up proudly and start reciting the "Pledge of Allegiance" to our nation's flag. Initially, if no one stands up with you, take a deep breath and slowly start the "Pledge" over again. I almost guarantee that others will proudly join you in the same.
