Could be a thousand reasons but the easy one is building Kane to help Braun. My point was that Cole mentioning it as he did, could give those that don't know a reason to look it up and find out about it. What they did after the match fit in with their characters and given Cole's commentary made perfect sense with the fans. People that know whats up had a great time seeing it coming... You could very well be right, but I don't see it given what Cole said.. I was shocked when he said it for the reasons you laid out in this.. But you KNOW Cole had a green light from Vince before spitting that line out.

I think this is a little off base. Cole acknowledged that AJ and Finn both led a club in Japan.
