/Film : Lost Season 5 Finale - What Did You Think?

Can everyone please stop with the black and white/good vs. evil? What show have you been watching for the past 5 years? This show is all about gray areas. People might do 'evil' things, but are inherently good and only want to do what they think is best. Evil is wanting to kill off anyone in the world who doesn't agree with you, but there is no one on the show who wants that. Wanting to be rich and powerful is not evil. I think the show actually questions is there really the absolutes of good and evil? As for the ending, was the whiteout the bomb going off... or another time flash?

/Film : Discussion: Has Lost Jumped The Smoke Monster?

I don't think you can use 'jump the shark/smokey' for a series that has a known ending point. Usually jumping the shark implies that a show does something out of desperation to save itself from being cancelled. For Lost's situation, there should be a new term for dragging the hell out of a story. Maybe 'swarmed by smokey'? Seeing as how I've invested 94 hours of my life to the best show on TV (that is equally good as frustrating), I'm watching til the end. We finally got to see Smokey's crib. I also dug seeing the opposing, extreme sides of Ben - the best gray-area character ever on TV. An ok episode, but yes, these past 2 episodes have really made it hard to keep telling myself to hang in there... only 20+ hours of this 116 hour movie left!
