gonna take a stab at it and say Asa's mom from Shuffle?

wow, i guess i'd be considered an ani-holic since i know of all 5 of your top picks xP

all things considered, i definitely agree with your choices and the justification behind them. it also pains me when the role of 'moms' (parents in general) take a backseat and are sometimes reduced to faceless beings, or even worse, as memories in a flashback with no relevance to the main plot.

great list, especially Sonomi and the hottie Satsuki. although, i'd probably put a 'memorable' in parenthesis for miss psycho-bitch at #5 ^^

I like your drywall posters among all the pictures of your non-otaku room. if the extent of your figurines are Pokemon than I am an avid collector of spiderman and other marvel superheroes lol.

spice and wolf here; anything with Holo is awesome in my book.

i'm sure you remember when i officially stopped watching wrestling, which is back when Benoit, Malenko, the NWO and the Wolfpack were still fresh in our minds. upon hearing this news, i am quite interested in seeing this match up, primarily because 'The Rock' is a local boy homegrown here in Hawaii, but also because wrestling itself was a good way to get my mind off trivial aspects of everyday life. there's a very good chance i'll check this out.

well, i definitely agree with Yasu, especially because he is just the best big brother figure around. i don't read manga, so i don't know exactly what happens after the end of the anime, that is until the manga finishes and the remainder gets animated for the second season. but i'm hoping there's a little something for Yasu cause he always gets the short end of the stick, which is horrible because he practically takes care of everyone in his own way. i feel for him

Sunohara is a different story for me though; while i enjoyed his arc which shows he has a soul, he's always been predominantly comedy driven for huge laughs in a stupidly, goofy sense. seeing him get in the spotlight with the main heroine (or something equally as important) would make me feel uneasy and a little awkward. not to say he doesn't deserve it or anything (every character in Clannad does), it's just that he emanates that type of personality and would contrast with his existence... which is to make people bust out laughing xP

man, i really need to read manga. i hear so much about Nana and Skip Beat! that i'm bleeding out the ears -_-

oh, and is there a connection with the Koihime Musou pic up top to anything? didn't even know you watched that show, would never have guessed... well, either that or it was a random pic lol

some of your picks are also some of my favorites as well; Monster, Durarara!, and ~AS~ especially. i think i'll go back and attempt to watch Haibane Renmei again after having seen it a long time ago. being at a much younger age, i might not have appreciated its value since i've grown to love shows that i had previously put off. also gonna try and finish Requiem of the Phantom. that show looked great, especially because it's atmosphere is dark and filled to the brim with militant aspects. i also LOVE orchestrated (synthesized or not) and Chorus (choir) for its pre-show aura and power to pull you in while concurrently playing visually stimulating scenes.

my favorites? hmm...for all time favorites, i would say: Air Gear - Chain, Beck - Hit in the USA, GiTSSaC - Inner Universe, Xam'd: Lost Memories - Shut Up and Explode, and Higashi no Eden - Falling Down

if i ever did, you'd be the first to read it. just be prepared for a crazy ride through symptoms of pre-dementia and borderline madness...

meh, if my past life was THAT exiting, i'd be committed to a mental institution writing autobiographies
