Texas Congressman Ron Paul has proposed the Federal Reserve simply cancel the $1.6 trillion in Treasury debt it holds. The Federal Reserve owns the bonds, so the Treasury is paying the Fed interest. Debt ceiling is a straw issue pumped up by Obama/democrats to divert public concern from the real issue ; bloated oppressive govt, horrendous fast increasing debt (spending)which crushes the economy (small business which creates 70% of jobs) making a huge % of population unemployed to be dependent on govt handouts and causing great tax increases born by the remaining diminished productive sector of society (govt employment not included). However, the public is increasingly aware of this traitorous activity designed to keep democrats in power. Rising prices at the gas pump and the market place are poor advertisements for democrat reelection in 2012. The govt credit card spending must cease in order to restore the prosperity of our citizenry.

To illustrate the gross overfunding of the Dept of Education; the DOE Inspector General dispatched a heavily armed in full military battle dress SWAT team to apprehend a woman wanted for undisclosed financial aid issues. SWAT conducted an early morning Gestapo assault, smashed in the door of the wrong address (she had moved out two years previously), dragged her husband out, made him and his crying children sit in a vehicle for hours until they thanked him for cooperating and left. The DOE uses SWAT?!!!! The DOE is not concerned with violent criminals. Too much DOE funding and DOE arrogance.
