Walker has to make a stand here. If the Fleebag Tactic works and the Fleebaggers are made into Heroes, it will set a precedent that can backfire at all levels of government. Imagine what would have happened in D.C. last year if all the Republicans had runaway to a secret hideout because they didn't have enough votes! The MSM would have been pitching a fit! If the Wisconsin 14 emerge as heroes, it will change to entire political system forever.

Does anyone remember a great Richard Boone anthology series in the late 1950s--- it had a repertory of good young actors and did completely different stories each week. I remember Duvall was one of that company. I think it was before Mockingbird because I instantly recognized him when I saw him as Boo Radley. He's been a treasure for a very long time!

I'm a faithful GW watcher and I disagree completely with this meme of the Tea Party/McVeigh angle being a swipe at the conservative movement. The character is one of the few on the show that is consistently charming and sympathetic, in effect, his presence is a complete rebuttal of the MSM/Hollywood stereotype of the Tea Party movement. He is the Palin-supporting love interest of the Hillary-style attorney of the GW firm, much to her surprise. If you're not a regular GW watcher, don't buy into everything you hear about the liberal slant of the show without giving it a fair trial. The GW organization from writers to actors are doing a fine job and I hope it continues. I've found it riveting from the first episode.

I just learned from a friend who as written an article that breast cancer fundraising dynamo, SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE actually contributes to PLANNED PARENTHOOD and has awards from Planned Parenthood to prove it! The irony is that abortion is a risk factor for breast cancer! SGK can go jump in the lake! There are many other organizations working on cancer cures, why donate to one that is pro-abortion?

I just learned two very interesting facts from my friend who is writing an article. Susan G. Komen organization funds Planned Parenthood, supposedly to provide breast screening services. Turns out, there is strong scientific evidence that abortion actually increases a woman's risk for breast cancer! Susan G. Komen organization has received awards from their buddies at Planned Parenthood! Knowing that will save me a ton of money support Pink Ribbon products and activities. No way I will donate to any organization even remotely tied to Planned Parenthood!

My two favorite actresses today are Frances McDormand and Amy Adams. They were great together in "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" playing a down-on-her-luck English spinster and a ditsy young American chanteuse. McDormand always delivers a solid performance. I have only seen Adams in a couple of films but she just shines.

Best solution would be to abolish the US Dept of Ed. Carter created it as a cabinet level position to harmonize with other governments in the G7. America 2000/Goals 2000 mandating Outcome-based Education was enacted to harmonize with the decades long UNESCO plan for Life-Long Education to train a compliant Workforce for the 21st Century. Charlotte Iserbyt, a Reagan appointee in the Dept of Ed blew the whistle on this whole system to move us into a socialist system in the 1980s! The teacher's union is bad; but, it's a smokescreen issue! Get over it! Close the Dept of Ed and get the feds out of the education area completely ! Don't be fooled by the Charter School carrot---- it's another pitfall ----more behavioral conditioniing/ Lifelong-learning Model from UNESCO.

This isn't directlyertinent, but something baby boomers who grew up i the golden age of television might like to know. My sister is an avid old movie buff and collects anything with Greer Garson, a 1940s star who went on to star in many of the 1950s and 1960s Hallmark Hall of Fame productions. She actually called Hallmark to ask if those Golden Age productions were available. She was told that despite Hallmark having their own cable network, they only broadcast and market the newer productions. But, they maintain a complete archive and employees are free to watch any of those old shows in the archive. Audible.com has several versions of ATLAS SHRUGGED as audio book at a reasonable price. It's been 40 years since I read the book, listening to the audio book might be worthwhile to refresh my memory before seeing the film. I think with the recent "too big to fail" bailouts,the timing for this film is perfect!

Talk radio host, Roger Fredinburg did a 20 part radio series in 1997-1998 called THE HOLOCAUST: WE MUST REMEMBER where he did in-depth interviews with survivors and WWII scholars that examines every aspect of the story. I'm in the process of typing the transcripts for him that will be published as a book as a companion piece to the MP3 files. I highly recommend the interview with Jack and Rochelle Sutin, who are on the program with their son Larry who wrote the book about his parents as Jewish teenagers,who fled to the forests of eastern Poland to fight as partisans after their families were killed by the Nazis. Sounds like a great film! My personal favorite racehorse movie is PHAR LAP. What they did to that magnificent animal, piling him wih extra weights because he was so swift, no other horse could compete unless he was handicapped with additional burden! Do they still do that in horseracing today?
