West Ham Till I Die : Match Report: West Ham 1 Spurs 0

MOTD is a joke and has been for years. How many times have we watched 'highlights' of a game and not recognised it as the game we went to? If Lawro & Shearer are the best pundits they can find, well, I don't know how to finish that sentence....

Unknown optimism? I think you've been a West Ham fan too long! I agree with the sentiment, and your team selection (Kovac looked pedestrian last week) but prefer to start Faubert and bring on Dyer later...... A point would be OK......?

West Ham Till I Die : Full Marks!

Some interesting points. Last seasons game at WHL was a bit of a travesty in that we created chances but didn't take them and they did. The dangerman last year was Lennon more than Modric. Suggest Saturday starting Line up Green Jacobson, Da Costa, Upson, Illunga Faubert, Noble, Parker Barerra Obinna, Cole Why? Faubert offers much more defensive coverage than Berarra or Dyer. Bring Dyer on in 2nd half and let him run rings around Spuds patchwork defense.

West Ham Till I Die : Who Should Partner Upson at Stoke?

I didn't realise everyone else was such a Da Costa fan? I've always said he's going to be a great player, just needs time to settle and a partnership to grow. Put him in Saturday, play 4-5-1, and kick 'em off the park!

West Ham Till I Die : A Comedy of Defensive Errors, as Our Next Home Match Takes on Crucial Importance!

Agree with you Johnny, We were definately in Saturdays game until.... well until Spectors name came up on the starting line-up! No seriously, even at half time, I thought there was a chance, slim but real, that we could nick a point, but then West Ham have acquired a habit of not returning to the field of play for a few minutes after play has resumed.... Julian Faubert particularly!!! .... and conceding goals in the 45-55 minute range.

Agreed, we should realistically 'expect' our first win until October! Sorry £8mil. for Cole is a joke, he's in the England squad! I can understand taking £12mil and getting someone in on loan (Santa Cruz, Keane, etc.) but for 8mil. I'd rather suck your grannys hammer toe....

To CelticHammer: You clearly don't understand how things work. 'Gollivan' as you call them are hardly lining their own pockets! They put more of their own money into West Ham in a day than you and I have in a lifetime of following the Irons. PLUS, Loan signings are not free, there is always a fee involved, not to mention wages. Finally, IF West Ham move to the Olympic Stadium, They will undoubtedly fill it to capacity for at least 6-8 games a season.... So keep the insults to a reasonable level, eh?
