This has nothing to do with racism. It's about state sovereignty. The feds are not enforcing the laws already in place so Arizona tried to make state laws that mirrored the fedral law so that they could attempt to prevent illegal immagration and stop the drain it has had on their state resources. The parts of the law the supreme court threw out was because they said it was the feds responsiblity to police immagration and not the states. It was not thrown out because it was ruled unconstitutional or racist.
Truth is we are one of the least racist countries in the world. Try to enter any other country in the world illegally and see how long you last. That is why people still flock here from all over the world because they know they'll have a better chance with a more level playing field than in any other country. God Bless America
