Thanks, John. I have it set up on blairandress.com, but I have not had any time to tweak it yet. It is absolutely amazing, though!

In Montgomery, there is a locally owned chicken place called Tenda Chick. I don't know if they put crack in their secret sauce or what... but it is freakin' addictive!

Human3rror : Blogging is Digital Ventriloquism

I get the metaphor, I truly do. Sometimes, I think this applies to me... you may not see my lips move, but the dummy definitely speaks! :) Like Amanda says, the written word sometimes seems to have more permanence, whether written on paper or on a screen. Because of this, I, too, try to be aware of the digital trail I leave behind me. The ability to re-read before hitting "send," "post," or "submit" and rethink has kept me out of trouble. Unfortunately, my big mouth doesn't always have this feature.

Ragamuffin Soul : Please Don't Boomchikawahwah On The Clock

Los, this is both a timely and painful topic for me. My pastor, who is also my friend and one of my accountability partners, resigned this past Sunday. I had known this was coming since he called me last Tuesday. He began that phone call by confessing to me that he had been lying to me during our accountability conversations for the past five months, and he then confessed to having an adulterous relationship with a church member. I am not sure I can answer this question with complete objectivity. Would such a policy have prevented boomchikawahwah? Not sure, but it might have. After all, it didn't start off that way. Like many of these relationships, it began with flirting that grew more inappropriate as time went on. I wish that my pastor had someone there to call him out the first time it happened, but he didn't. As a result, his family is deeply wounded and trying to pick up the pieces. The other family is as well. His bride of more than twenty-five years is devastated. Our growing church is hurting and without a senior pastor. Would such a policy have prevented it? I don't know, but I wish it had been in place.

Chez Crazy : Needing some MAC guidance

1) Either buy from Apple with your education discount or buy a refurbished machine from Apple. You will get more machine for your money with the refurb. I just checked, and they are running some sweet deals. MacMall is another option, but I am a fan of the Apple refurb deals. Avoid eBay. Used computers, even Apples = a bad idea. 2) Buy AppleCare... not because the machine is prone to mess up, but you want to have Apple's award-winning service behind you if it does. 3) Use the iLife suite at first for video. Until you have mastered it, you don't need anything more. Once you want to do things that it won't do, make a purchase. 4) Buy AppleCare. 5) Buy the most RAM your machine can handle... from someone else other than Apple. Apple charges too much, and installing RAM is a simple procedure. I suggest OWC (Other Word Computing... google it.) 6) Buy AppleCare. 7) Buy the fastest processor in your budget range. You can upgrade other things (ie. - hard drive) later, but the processor is a one time purchase. 8) Have I mentioned AppleCare? :)

Ragamuffin Soul : How To Annoy Me // How To Charm Me

I wouldn't want to hazard a suggestion on the religion / theology / spirituality books. As far as novels, the best one I have read recently was Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. It was simply amazing. Who would have ever thought that a book about the construction of a cathedral would be so captivating?

How to annoy me: smoke with your small children around and be sure to exhale as you are getting them out of the stroller. How to charm me: with Reese's miniatures... God's perfect balance of chocolate and peanut butter.

Ragamuffin Soul : What Song Needs A Break?

If I never hear "Friend of God" again, it will be too soon. And, Amanda, I love ya... but we need more Tomlin at our church. To me, that stuff never gets old... but hearing "I am a friend of God...." makes me die a little inside.
