Maybe they should either manage the money they already get, or take away some of the dependent credit offered for children for state and federal income taxes. This way those who have the children that will be benefiting will actually be footing the bill. I already pay enough for the deadbeats on welfare and foodstamps(I have no issues with these prorams for those who are trying and need extra support), I don't need to foot the bill for kids to have arts and crafts time in school too.

Guess where most of the people with "Thyroid" problems choose. Let's take away personal accountability, give everyone in society someone to point the finger at for their problems so we can all be fat and happy. Sure, blame me for you being fat. Guess what, people were fat before I ever commented on this article, tons of people are fat that don't know me, people will be fat before, during, and after this article. As much as you need someone to point your finger at, why don't you try looking yourself in the mirror. There is the person that you should be blaming for being fat because guess what, it's not my fault, it's not the next guy or gal that works out fault, it's not the fast food industries fault. It's your own, if you don't like it, do something about it. Have a little self repect and take accountability for your OWN actions.
Everybody is offended by something, often too easily these days. I got grades in school and we kept score at all of my sporting events. I'm offended by obese people blaming everyone else for them being fat. I for one have a horrible metabolism, however, I workout 4-5 times per week as well as I am very conscious of what I eat. I understand Thyroid issues, but you can't tell me every fat person you know has a Thyroid issue. It's a cover up and an excuse. Try getting off from the couch and having a little self control. If you're depressed because of being fat, get out of the house, do something. You will feel better as well as burn calories. I think that once obese people start to understand that being obese most of the time is a choice, just as much as going for a hike, bike ride, or eating a damn salad every now and then maybe they will start to do something about it.
Writin, you're correct. Some people are idiots. You don't need a nutritionist, or someone to bring you food for you to be able to eat right. That's being lazy, probably the root of your weight in the first place. Stop eating out of a box, or fast food or whatever it may be. Here's a lesson, free of charge. When you go to the grocery store, stick to the outside isles. This is where you will find produce, dairy, and meats. The foods your body needs to function properly. Stay away from the processed garbage that 99% of people shove in their bodies everyday. It's all about breaking habits. Anyone can do it, it doesn't take someone special.

Tri-met needs to cut the ridiculous benefits package and become more in line with other agencies of the same type. If the Occupier's don't like a viable solution to the budget problems, let's make them foot the bill for awhile. We can start by taking the expense directly out of their welfare checks and food stamps. If we are talking "Human Rights", it should be my right to not have to pay to foot the bill for a bunch of lazy, worthless idiots to march around and protest what they think is fair. I go to work everyday so they can live off of the government system (that the average working person's taxes are covering) and gripe about being treated unfairly. Life isn't fair, get some self respect and go to work!!!
