Frank also acknowledges contacting officials at the Treasury Department about the bank’s bailout application.“I believe it would have been a very big mistake to put the only black bank (in Massachusetts) out of business,” Frank said. Frank also insists, “It was a case of the federal government causing the problem.”Causing the bad loans OneUnited made? Or would that go back to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which Frank so staunchly defended earlier on? The party-line 60-40 vote was successful only because Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown has yet to be seated. Is this legal?? Based on Massachusetts law, Senate precedent, and the U.S. Constitution, Kirk should no longer be a Senator after election day, period. Brown meets the age, citizenship, and residency requirements in the Constitution to qualify for the Senate. “Qualification” does not require state “certification”.

President Obama said last night that Congressional Democrats "shouldn't try to jam anything through" on health care reform before Scott Brown takes his seat in the Senate!!I If I was one ot those people he's talking about "jamming" I'd be angry.He is the one who is jamming!!! Here from Boston!!!! I'm not the same Irish girl who's Da took her to vote when she turned 18 and told her "Don't worry about the name love,if it has a D after it that's what you vote". And I know that if my Da was here today he wouldn't vote because of the"D" after someone's name. The Democrats of my Da and Pop's time would be considered the "conservatives" of today.They would be proud of me and my beliefs,they would be appalled at what this Government is trying to do to this great country. They would have joined me at the Tea Party. I know in my heart they would not have voted for Martha Coakley ,even though we have the same last name!!! God Bless the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
