I agree with you that a few people are bitching about the terrain. The solution is just to put up pictures of a few tables that will be at NOVA. You said it yourself having known what the terrain was like you would of brought your nidz instead of Loganwing. That is why people are complaining about, they didn't know and the terrain was out of norms (what people usually play with).

And good job on breaking up the text.

Nice Article. Just an Idea for your storage, I know a few stores around here let regulars leave their armies in display cases instore so they can show new people cool conversions, nice paint jobs and they don't have to do it themselves. The army has to be fully painted and nicelly painted to do it but it could be an idea for you.

I'm with Desc440 for dropping the Baal's and adding 2 priests and 2 typhoons. The typhoons mean less hulls in midfield so your predators have a better line of sight. All you're infantry now have FNP/FC bubbles. With 4 flamerbacks and FC charge marines you're AI is pretty much covered. You have lots of melta for close range but you are lacking in long range firepower and the typhoons fill in the blank nicely and can also be used as AI as needed.

I've played a few games with Baals and they are lacking in offensive punch for their costs.

2 of the kits that I find pretty usefull are the chaos spawn and chaos demon prince. Thay have spares of everything. And once you are done with the main model you can scratch build 1-2 more with the leftovers.

I've been playing on and off with my eldar and I can garantee that underslug shiriken cannons are a must on ALL eldar vehicules (even the fire prisms they have BS4). You pay a big price for being AV12 and skimmer might as well increase your fire output for a slim increase in points.

Halo-fields on fire prisms are not necessary, on a falcon carrying eldrad ok, for everything else don't worry about it. For the price of 3 halo-fileds you can almost field an other wave serpent.

Spirit stones on fire dragon wave serpents is good, everything else save the points, get more hulls.

I play with a farseer and an autarch just like you, the autarch for reserve shenigans and the farseer for the runes of warding and that's it. The runes of warding are really helpful in lots of games, I find them better then a psychic hood because the range is unlimited.

Dire avengers suck bad. They die when their transport explodes and they are so few that they have to take a leadership most of the time for lost models. Also when peaple shoot at you the only thing that dire avengers survive better then guardians is to a flamer. Against everything else you're going to use your cover save anyways might as well have more bodies. Guardians cost a little bit more then dire avengers but at least they can carry a meltagun or a flamer, 2 things eldar lack in general. And the 12" vs 18" range of avengers vs guardians is a none issue, your're going to be gone to ground most of the time you're not in you're vehicule anyways.

You can even drop a unit of fire dragons when you put the autarch with a unit of guardians with meltaguns and the farseer in an other unit of guardians with meltaguns.

I stick wolf guards with combi-melta and combi-flamers to my grey hunter packs in rhinos. The combi-flamer is only 5 points and is pretty good against any zenos/IG that you pop the transport with melta, the turn after you roast them.

Friends and I have been using somethink similar for the past 6 months. We use every book mission but we set them as primary, secondary and tertiary with a tie-break of victory points. The only variation that we use is that there is always a Seize Ground objective setup in the middle of the board and that players only have 1 each to setup. The seize ground objectives are setup before rolling for first turn/deployemnet edge by a dice off. The Capture and Control objectives are setup at the same time as your army.

It works pretty well to get games going fast.

I've finished second at my store with sapce wolfs, first was a black templar using steleks exact list, third place was an ork. Faced of against orks first round, won by massacre, won second round against blood angles by massacre, tied last game against the black templar player you finished first, 43 Victory points difference betwean us. He finished first by 4 battle points. 12 players only, 1 space wolf (me), 1 black templar, 2 orks, 1 nid, 1 grey knight, 2 blood angels, 3 vanilla marines, 1 dark angel (deathwing),

In my area, the way sportsmanship is played is pretty straight foward. In a 3 round tournament you have the scores 1-2-3 to give once to each of your opponents at the end of the day. In a 4 round tournament you give 1-2-2-3.

The guy getting the one doesn't have to be a jerk but it still means he was the one you least enjoyed playing against and the one getting the four is your most favorite opponent.
