Again, Seattle is anti-automobile. They have in recent years done everything to do away with street parking. They have made sure that if you come to downtown you MUST spend money. Hey city officials, try this---HOW ABOUT MORE STREET PARKING. A city officials--INVITE PEOPLE TO COME DOWNTOWN BY MAKING IT LESS OF A DRIVING NIGHTMARE. And why was there no specifics about the "time limit"? Remember how this works -give an inch and give up a mile. Before you know it you might have to pay street parking in Ballard. Oh wait, bad example. Okay, it might cost a couple of hundred dollars for a family to go see a major league game. Oh wait, it does. Well than we might end up with a park that calls giant desk items like erasers and call it art-and make it non family friendly...etc...I know that is the kind of city I want to live in...NOT

FYI-this should be a simple fix. It sounds like your debt was purchased by one company than another. They re-reort the debt which should be removed after 7 years. Get a hold of customer relations at the 3 credit bureaus to clear it up. It's black and white law--it MUST be removed. Good luck....

This article is a little miss-leading. Google Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Many of your rights are there for you to access but enforcement has been lacking. Let's hope this helps the consumer more directly.

Howard I do understand. I really do. In my example I gave I was just pointing out the duration of service is down in a lot of industries. Toyota for example-good car, great engineering but what if they didn't provide parts or service for anything older than 2 years? All that money you invested and it becomes obsolete so quickly. That's why I overpaid to begin with for my MAC. Because innovations would work on the hardware for years. But this is kinda off point. Hope you at least understand my point....

You are telling as it is! Example-I've been an APPLE guy since 1984. It took years before you HAD to upgrade. The MAC was a turn-key set up--plug it in, turn it on and use it for years. No longer. The newest operating system due out July 25th will not work on mac's made before 2006 or 2007. Result, > it is old and therefore *must* be replaced<. Fact of life but a damn shame.

He sure was. Of course Scoop had it easy in those days. All we had was coming off a decade of assassinations, Vietnam, race riots, a country tearing itself apart, inflation.
