That sounds like a good idea. I'm currently looking for something that will work with my tri suit. The gel flasks squeeze out because it's so tight in the pocket.

Sent from my iPhone

http://bikenazi.com/ : Prescription Cycling Glasses: Tifosi Roubaix\'s | The Bikinator | Angie Sokorai

Hi Brian. I am really happy with them. I have come to accept that the first 10-15 minutes of any ride feels a little disconcerting while I get used to my lack of peripheral vision, but then once I settle in, I no longer feel limited. I would recommend these as a solution to a problem, but not in general for all cyclists who need vision correction. They are not the ideal situation, but they allow someone who has no other option the chance to do long rides without having to worry about blurry vision, dry eyes, sun glare, etc. __I wouldn't recommend them for group road rides though. You have to be aware of what's happening on all sides of you, and without your side vision, I think it would be dangerous. On solo rides, you can make a conscious effort to look both ways at intersections and to look over your should before taking a lane to turn left. But in a constantly changing group ride, the loss of peripheral vision would really limit me.

I like the idea of going with real food as opposed to gels. I've been doing a lot more of that. But when you need gel, the soft flask is great!

Sent from my iPhone

http://bikenazi.com/ : Blind on a Bike: Park V - The Solution | The Bikinator | Angie Sokorai

Hi Del. I'm sorry I didn't see your post 7 weeks ago. I was having a problem with getting notifications of comments, so I didn't know until now. I'm sorry to hear about your MS diagnosis. I'm glad the Uhtoffs Syndrome is a temporary thing (from what I've read). I hope you still get to ride your bike this summer. I know someone who has MS and races mountain bikes. I know he has to watch out for certain things, especially exerting himself in the heat. As for me, I checked the symptoms of MS and I think I'm fine. Thanks for posting because that's pretty serious. I'm glad you have answers, however undesirable they may be.

http://bikenazi.com/ : Was Veganism Just Another Phase? | The Bikinator | Angie Sokorai

Hi Laura. Sorry to not reply sooner. I'm not getting notifications when someone comments. That's a keen observation you've made. I also noticed that the year I was a vegan was the same year I lost interest in training. The thought entered my mind about the link. But there were other things in my personal life that were happening at the same time though. A lot of the reason I wanted to stop the structured training was because of how it was affecting my marriage. If you don't put time into your relationships, you can drift apart. It's important for each to have their interests, but I was so obsessive about mine, that it left little time for anything or anyone else.

http://bikenazi.com/ : Was Veganism Just Another Phase? | The Bikinator | Angie Sokorai

Hi Sidney. Sorry to not reply sooner. I'm not getting notifications when someone comments. Wow, that's a really intolerant way of life. That's one thing I never liked about veganism. As I researched things online, I would constantly sense the judgement that other vegans have to each other (and for meat eaters). Maybe it's inevitable and human nature. After all, veganism isn't a half way decision. By its nature, it's "all or nothing". You can ease into it, but even people who are "moving toward veganism" get judged by pure vegans. It's as if those who are truly vegan feel as if they've earned it, so anyone who isn't doing the life style fully is a fake. Anyway, it's a shame that something that's supposed to be good can become so negative. I'm glad I've moved back to a more balanced lifestyle. Even though I'm eating meat and dairy, it's so much less than before I embarked on a vegan diet. Overall, I think I'm healthier. I guess I'll have to wait another year for my next physical to see for sure.
