Downtown Bike Hounds : An open letter to the Downtown BIA regarding the casino survey

The point of the survey was for the BIA to form a position on a downtown Casino (yes or no) based on the opinions of its members. It was not about data analysis. If the end result is a casino in the core, then the BIA would be free to do further polling and analysis once we understand what is within our control and what isn't. I don't claim to be a survey expert, but it's clear that the BIA isn't either. Next time they should hire one if they want usable results.

Downtown Bike Hounds : Who likes hops?

My first vine was Nugget and it was available potted from Garden Gallery on Wilson Street toward Ancaster. The more interesting varieties were purchased as rhizomes online. This is the second growing season for my rhizomes and the third season for the Nugget (but I transplanted it after year one so it lost some of its vigour)

I probably have a little bit to send your way in trade :-) What styles are you into? I\\\'m into citrusy west coast IPAs (wink wink)

Downtown Bike Hounds : Beautiful pearlescent Peugeot mixte (price reduced)

Yes :-) In most cases (unless it only very recently sold), bikes listed under this tag are still available. Once they are sold, the tag is changed to sold and it will no longer appear in the used bikes list. Thanks!

Downtown Bike Hounds : Black bike recovered - potentially stolen - is it yours?

Since no one replied with anywhere near a proper description of this bike, we have sent it back to the person who brought it in to us. Please be sure you keep sales receipts and serial numbers of your own bikes so that if the unthinkable happens, you can arm the police with all of the information they need. Thanks!

Downtown Bike Hounds : Peugeot/Xtracycle conversion - store demo for sale

We can convert any 26" wheel non suspension bike to Xtracycle - the best candidates are mid 90s era cromoly mountain bikes. 700c wheeled bikes and aluminum bikes are tougher to work with.

Downtown Bike Hounds : How to choose a used bike!

I personally prefer them to hydraulic - but beware of no name brands which are hard to tune, hard to service, and hard to find replacement pads for. My favourite are Avid BB7. Failing that, I would consider Avid BB5, Shimano or Tektro.

Downtown Bike Hounds : BUB has arrived!

The racks will be available "soonish". My translation of that is "sometime in May" but I will not know for sure until I receive confirmation that the shipment has hit Canadian shores. I will definitely post when that happens! Sean
