ipad looks retarded...expensive giant ipod touch. how can it be better than netbooks at writing emails if it doesn't have a good keyboard, except for an external one that it comes with making it just as heavy (or as light?) as a netbook. webbrowsing - it doesn't have flash so until html5 becomes huge that's kinda useless. it's using a smartphone os when it's clearly bigger than a smartphone...and can't do background applications making the 1ghz chip rather useless...theres no HDMI output making the video abilities worse than a Zune HD...theres no webcam so you can't do video chats..theres no stlyus so you can't really draw or write on it either. and it doesn't have an eink display so it's not better at showing books than an ereader. instead of combining everything and making it it better like steves job says, it puts it all together and makes it worse. at least the HP slate runs a pc operating system. the 10 hour battery life is nice however. probably because you can only run one app at a time though (not even a program..an app meant for a 3.5 inch screen) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFNQE_TzQNI
