Central Oregonian : Third Street getting new sidewalks

Why? What a waste of money. How about placing some sidewalks on Main St. That place is a death trap.

Central Oregonian : City considering a right-of-way privilege tax

LOL a privilege to enter Prineville? Really? It's a privilege just to go around it! Money, money, money! Ugh...I have a home for sale there but live in Redmond now. I received both city bills yesterday, City of Redmond...$82.00 and thats for water, sewer and garbage for an entire month for 4 people plus a lot of guests visiting. Prineville...$75.00 and NO ONE LIVES THERE! And thats just for water and sewer, not garbage. No water or sewer is being used..PERIOD! That town rips you off. It's cheaper to live New York City! I hope that crummy town wakes up one of these days and realizes just how crappy it is there. It's nothing but a big hole filled with trash.

Central Oregonian : Take pride in your community

Pick up after themselves? HA! The town is a dump. It's like what Jeff Foxworthy says, you know you're a redneck when....when you live in Prineville. Way to many low income or welfare families. They don't care that their grass is 2 ft tall. They don't care if they keep their trash in the front yards. They don't care if they keep furniture in the grass. It's not just the foreclosed homes, those are nothing compared to the homes people actually live in. What a dump.

Central Oregonian : Sheriff’s office employees face charges

Like that would do any good. You can't throw a dart in that town without hitting a "Good Old Boy". Anyone elected into office will be the same. If you're from out of town...you don't have a chance. My step father tried MANY times to get on different councils. Hes not a born and raised local, he was ignored.

I'm glad to see someone else who feels the same about that horrid town. "Crook" is the perfect name for this county. You are crap unless your sleeping with the boss or a local.

I'm sorry...prejudge the person who filed the charges? It's hard not to when a hard working, honest man is being accused of such a ridiculous crime. Especially when it's coming from such a crooked department. I'm sorry, you have no idea what I went through living in that town. I had no help from this so called police department and their staff. The crimes that were committed towards me and how they brushed it off. The town punks who tormented my children, why...because the could. Because who there parents were or grandparents were. It made me sick. So your asking me not to prejudge? Hard not to do when the town prejudges you.

I have lived in a few small communities, I've always been invited in, not pushed out. Your right, I shouldn't label the entire community. There is a few (and I mean FEW) people that are very nice that live there. Oh wait...they moved there around the same time I did...they hate it too. Ok, I'm sure there might be a couple "nice" people who live there. But the hatred of the locals to the "non locals" is very noticeable. I have been yelled at, cursed at, call an immigrant all because I was NEW! And all I said to them was "How can I help you?" Am I bitter? YES! Did I waste 5 years of my life in that town, YES! Do I regret letting my house foreclose? HECK NO! Most of that town has walked away. Only people who will suffer are the "locals" and the businesses. Do I care...NOPE! Mr. Robinett is an outstanding person. He is just another victim of the "You weren't born here, so you're nobody" crap that town has going on. GET MY POINT?

This is so like Crook County. He's not a local (born & raised) so he gets accused of this petty crap. Somewhere between $100 and $1000? Really? Sounds like someone is just pulling this crap from their rear end. Theft by putting a trash bag in a trailer? Are you serious! This is the worst town I have ever step foot in. It's on the fast track to a ghost town. I've never met the most rudest people in my entire life. This man is the most honest man I've ever met. Someones family member or good buddy needs a job so the out of towner is going to suffer.
