John Congdon : Book Review: Master Your Mac

Nice, not a bad price, and since I've convinced Jenn to go over to the dark side with, may not be a bad investment. Combine that with a subscription to Lynda.com, you're good to go!

John Congdon : Should Website Authentication Really Require Email Addresses?

I would say that you make collecting the email address required, but also offer up an opt-in box if they'd like to receive future marketing / communication messages. As long as you're clear about what the email address is used for, I wouldn't have a problem giving mine out. What other methods of authentication are available?

Brian Halstrom : Roto Grip Rogue Cell Bowling Ball Review

Hey Sid, The great thing I liked about my Rogue Cell is that is was powerful, consistent and controllable. I would expect the Rogue to start rolling more in the midlane with a strong backend reaction. Possibly a good choice to start with that ball or the Mutant depending on how the lanes are playing, then as they transition switch to the Nomad Pearl to get through the heads and provide good backend reaction.

Hey, I've actually taken another job in a different industry, so for now, I will not be on any of the new bowling ball videos. I may try to start taping my own and posting them, but don't really have a time frame for that. I will be writing reviews on those as there are a few guys on Storm staff I bowl with so I can see how they're reacting.

Brian Halstrom : So Many Bowling Balls, Which to Choose?

Hey Thomas, I know how the lanes can be at a college tournament. They certainly break down fast, and depending on where you're bowling, you never know what kind of shot you're going to get. What college are you bowling for? For ball recomendations, Storm & Roto Grip have some great balls in their mid performance line. The Tropical Heat series by Storm works very well on medium to drier conditions, as well as Roto Grip's Dark Star. Those balls have pearl coverstocks. As far as going with a urethane ball, it wouldn't be a bad idea depending on where you're going to bowl. I remember bowling tournaments like the Brickyard Classic & Colgate Invitational and the lanes were fried, so a urethane ball would be nice to have just in case you run into any of those conditions. The Storm Natural & Roto Grip Grenade are good options there. Let me know if you have any additional questions about bowling balls or collegiate events you're bowling.
