If I had one day, I would brave the busy mile-long road that separates my house from "town" and where my college is and walk into town. Upon my arrival, in addition to going to classes, I'd make sure I got one of the "in-house" reusable coffee mugs at the coffee shop, stock up on produce from local farmers, and brave the busy road and walk home. I use my Brita Filter and fill up a water bottle everywhere I go. The tap water here is REALLY bad, so it's really the only option. A water filter certainly pays for itself in the end. However, I pretty much agree with everyone on here. Places where there isn't clean water could definitely benefit from this...or even places where you CAN'T take your own refillable bottle (I've been to plenty of places like that) maybe using the boxes instead of the bottles that add up if you have to buy your own water. That's a foreign term. When I need to relax I usually need to get as far away as I can from what is considered "normal." I have a really hard time sitting still, so bubble baths and meditation really don't do it for me. In the town I live in there is a wonderful smoothie shop. Everything there is deliciously organic and the owners are the friendliest business people in town. On stressful days, I retreat there, order a berry buzz smoothie, which is a delicious mix of yummy berries and yogurt and a blueberry bagel and just sit and chat with the owner, Phil.
