Sad thing is, we didn't even need a judge to tell them this was unconstitutional. We were screaming at Washington that it was from the beginning. It really goes to show how little "We The People" are being listened to.

Big Government : BREAKING: Democrat Introduces Legislation to End Right-to-Work States

Who the heck do they think they are? Force my husband to join a union? Force him to pay dues to political causes he doesn't support? Take out of his paycheck money we need for bills? For what, pray tell? Unions have served their purpose, being at one time the only way anyone had rights in the workplace. Now with there being federal laws protecting people in the workplace from wrongful termination, discrimination, not paying overtime, wages, etc. the unions have become nothing but extortionists. Last I checked, the company writes his paychecks, not the union. What really hacks me off, is even in some of the right to work states, if the union strikes and the plant shuts down for lack of work, the non-union wouldn't get unemployment even though it's technically a layoff.

Big Government : Tuesday Open Thread: PBS Edition

I agree. I still love Doctor Who to this day. Been watching since I was eight. However, it used to piss me off, (even at eight) how they virtually extorted money from people saying, "Oh donate more, it will mean more Dr. Who!" Then when pledge time is over, no shows. Always claimed they had no money for it, and the episodes were always held two years back. Yeah, I'd agree. PBS needs to be defunded. It's a dinosaur, a big taxpayer money sucking dinosaur.

LOL I'm not a child, but I have a child who watches it. It is a much better show than "Hannah Montana". It's about a girl who, with her friends, has a web show. Her parents are Navy and lives with her older brother while they are on duty. Jerry Trainor plays her older brother, a law school dropout and sculptor. If you ever check this show out and see him, think Jack Tripper. ;) Miranda Cosgrove is a much better role model, not having been caught up in many of the scandals Miley Cyrus and the little Simpson girl have. That's why my little girl is allowed to watch her show, and not the others. Miranda is also one heckva singer. She does a song or two for the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" movie to which my little girl, even with her speech impairment, can sing nearly every word. Nickelodeon if you were wondering.

Breitbart.com : Census: 1 in 7 Americans lives in poverty

Hi Connie. Fox News did an article on some farmers union that asked Americans to take those farming jobs, and the fact that even in these hard times still could not fill them. Right now, I'd take one in a minute if it were available in my state and know several people who would. Knowing its a union who said they couldn't fill the jobs, I wonder at the truthfulness of the statement lol. As for welfare, I've had to take it a few times, as recently as a year ago when my husband got laid off. I can't understand why anyone would want to make it a way of life. Funny thing is, I was pressured to keep taking it even when I didn't fully qualify for it anymore after he went back to work. I hate having to take help, hate the intrusion into your life it makes. I wonder how many take it because of pressure to keep it when even times are good. Nonetheless, I told them to keep it, thanks for the help, and see you (maybe) next time I need it.
