Well this article just confirmed why I am voting NO. Especially the following comment:
“Mainly because we live in the flood plain and I think it’s the fairest tax there is,” said Larry Larson, who has lived in his Time Check house for 36 years. “Everybody has to pay that.”
Why should I have to continue to pay extra taxes for someone to choose to continue to live in a flood plain? If you want protection, get insurance!
I am also not down to vote for anything that does not have a clear plan. Once a plan for that money is set I will reconcider. How do you know how much money you need/how long you will need to continue the 1% increase if you don't know what you want or how much it will cost?

I empathize with your anger about the subject and I don't want to delve into your personal history (not because I am insensitive, but because I don't want to upset you further). But two wrongs do not make a right. I too as an adult would never stand to be abused physically or emotionally. But as a woman I know that even if you think you are strong, 9 times out of 10 a man will overpower you. It's better to just walk away. Hopefully the woman in this news story will do the same. She too has a little one to think of.

Not at all. I personally do not wish ill will on anyone. I think you are just asking for trouble when you do.
I find it humorous how often "internet tough guys" show up on the comments section of KCRG. Yet no one has the gumption to back up their word because they know it would put them on the same level as this guy.
I was drinking my tea this morning and read a quote on the tag that said "By honoring your word you are honored in this world." this is something I truly believe in. Don't say you are going to do something and not do it. The DC vigilante superhero may be crazy, but at least he is doing something besides spouting off on the internet. I think Outkast said it best, "Word is bond, like super glue".
