I never actually rated Zola during his time with us. I could see that he was working wonders with Cole and that he had a good relationship with the players, but under him we were a disaster. Somethings just seem to go wrong at our club, we get all the bad luck. Avram did remarkably well with Chelsea and Portsmouth, whatever anyone says, and i was glad when he was appointed. That opinion has now changed, obviously. Allardyce is a manager who I have always respected. He's old fashioned, but it's fashionable. I don't particularly trust that approach as that could easily back fire and means we don't grab the bull it's horns! This is the attitude that could get us in trouble in future. You've got to wonder if maybe DS pushed abit harder, we might have got Tevez, and possibly even Torres (who personally I'm not a massive fan of).
