I do not know how stuff works here, but the army still can refuse all the unconstitutional orders. Not some random guys, all of them, en masse. But i have a very bad suspicion that most of them are enjoying this mess. And those "dedicated" people are pretty surprised that the face eating leopards are actually eating their faces.
When we were fighting russians back in the 90ies, police, who was actually not Lithuanian but soviet, just crossed the line, at least those who were of Lithuanian origin, and joined the right side of the barricades. There was no Lithuanian army, but police disobeying russian commands made a lot of difference.

Went to see my eye doctor for a regular checkup yesterday. He is the coolest guy ever. Aside from being a doctor he plays drums in a jazz band. He dresses so cool, like a cool cat from the 60ies jazz band (he has been playing since then), and his whole practice has the same vibe. He is obviously on the right side of history too. I missed the memo that he hired a new doctor and now works just 3 days a week. Got pretty upset, but the new doctor is as cool as him. He is American Japanese. So we exchanged stories about family members sitting in russian and American gulags. It's so nice to go to a place and bitch freely about all this horror.

Today is 5 years since we got Bishop. His dad is traveling so we went out for celebratory dinner and shared beef carpaccio. I usually give him raw beef when i cook, but we eat it like once a year. He liked it.
