Today marks 35 years since russia attacked Lithuanian people standing to protect our TV, Radio buildings, and our Seimas. It looks like so long ago, but at the same time it's like yesterday. The Western world tried to tame us, to sweet talk us not to rush events, exactly how they treat Ukraine now. We knew that nobody is coming to save us. The promises we heard on the Voice of America or Radio Free Europe never materialized, and we stopped believing them long time ago. Still, we stood there, with no guns, no Lithuanian army to protect us, and we knew that we won't move an inch when russians are gonna attack.

Not sure. I listen for a little bit but got sick. Not that i am surprised. It was obvious that there has to be more that raping of little girls. Still, absolutely sickening.

The fuckers are counting on us giving up. We can't. I keep reading about the Ukrainian soldiers and civilians surviving the horrors of captivity. We have to channel our outrage somehow. This cannot be the end of this once great country.

You guys know that i grew up in an occupied country .
Granted it was 80ies when i started figuring out what's what. But this is much worse. Honestly, i am not sure i have time to prepare for my escape. I need till May.
On the other hand, how are we fighting this? We cannot just let the fucking nazis roll over. Because we are at the moment "They came for me".

Our Finn and the little guy were polyglots. Bishop too. We speak to them English, Lithuanian, and Hebrew. My mom, whe she still cared to come to the US, was not having it. The dogs would run to the garage door if you asked them where their leashes are or if they wanna go out. In any of the three languages. She asked them in russian and they paid no attention to that whatsoever.

Not sure he is smart enough to control the whole operation. Unless he was somebody's puppet in the US.

My take on this whole thing is Putin abandoned Maduro for the sake of getting Ukraine from trump. The fuckers didn't not account that they won't find traitors in Ukraine to sell Zelenskyy. It's a mess whatever way you look at it, but it's not the mess they planned for.

Great hearing from you, Karma. I was thinking of you sharing oplatek with my family on Christmas Eve. It was a half of the thing that came all the way from Lithuania, so you were with all of us.
