In a free society, the right to property is essential. Each owner should have the right to set the rules for his or her own property. People then have the adult choice to visit these businesses or not to visit them "freedom of choice" is a great thing and should not be taken away.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Get ready to possibly go smoke free in Marion County. A City-County Council committee passed a smoking ban in a four to two vote.

The smoking ban proposal now goes to the full council for a vote on October 26. The proposal would ban smoking in all Marion County businesses including bars, PRIVATE CLUBS! and bowling alleys.

In this economy bars have been struggling, a lot are barely making it. I know that 95% of my business comes from smokers if this ban passes 10 people will be out of work and 10 more people will be on unemployment there will be one more vacant building in Marion county. the state and federal government will be out tens of thousands of dollars each year in tax revenue. My employees work in a bar because they can smoke now they will be forced to work somewhere that they cant. This is just my story. This will happen to a hundred or more other bar owners over the next year or two.

The property rights of business owners are being taken from them. Business owners should maintain the final word on whether to allow cigarettes in their businesses.

(App. 13.) Indiana Code Section 35-42-2-1.5 provides as follows:
A person who knowingly or intentionally inflicts injury on a person that creates a substantial risk of death or causes:
(1)serious permanent disfigurement;
(2)protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member or organ; or
(3)the loss of a fetus;
commits aggravated battery, a Class B felony.

Mike Mcurdy is a violent drunk and has hurt alot of people!

This guy should have not been out of jail in the first place!

He has been convicted of 6 felonies in less than 4 years!

Maybe now that he has finaly been charged with a violent crime the state "system" will wake up and DO THERE JOB!

She wont press charges against him so the "system" needs to make sure he is convicted and put away before someone else gets beat or killed by this maniac!
