As before, I also urge individuals to pursue legal channels to meet these challanges, first and foremost the petition found on http://www.912petitions.com/ . Read it, sign it, print it, and bring it to your local tea parties and rallies. United we are making a stand, we will be heard, and we will win!

This is the origin of the income tax law:

US Constitution, Section 8. (The Congress shall have Power)
"No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken."

Comment: Congress cannot impose direct taxes except in proportion to population. The original Income tax was based from this, found to be unconstitutional and was repealled. The 16th Amendment was created to make Income tax legal and superseded this clause, but only as it pertains to income tax.

Amendment 16
(Ratified February 3, 1913)
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. "

Comment: Congress can impose an income tax, and it need not be tied to variances in state population.

3) Offshore accounts are required by the IRS to be reported or has penalties that can be imposed (to the extent of forfeiture of the business’s assets).

4) The business’ want to give the money back because they have witnessed the government’s tyrannical actions and want no part of having their business seized by a government. The government has no authority to dictate how a company performs its business function as long as it is operating within the law (labor laws, permits, licensing, etc…). The government has acted against the Constitution by imposing pay-limits on the private sector.

Actually, I would like to correct you on several points.
1) The transparency that you are speaking of was created by the Federal Securities Act in 1933, and not Obama.

2) The top 5% of wealth earners are generally companies, but are taxed in many different facets that the general populace is unaware of. Property tax on assets (real property and inventories), IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) that maintain trucking fleets (a gasoline tax on top of the tax you pay at the pump), Sales taxes, Use Taxes, Excise Taxes, Import Tariffs (taxes), Triple the amount of Federal Income taxes (on their shareholders, the company, and it’s individuals), State Income taxes, Local Income taxes, Capital Gains taxes, and this list is far from complete; it continues with many other taxes. The top 5% of wealth earners are responsible for 70% of tax revenues, before any modifications from the Obama administration.

The growing concern over whether there should be a 'leader' to concentrate efforts leads me to this simple point and you can choose for yourselves. A revered general once wrote tactics to insure victory for a battle. He wrote of one tactic, which is simple in principal. Turn your greatest weakness into your greatest strength. That general was Sun Tzu, in the Art of War.

It may be true that without a 'leader' we expose our greatest weakness, but in this we must construct this very thing to be our greatest strength. Smaller groups are able to work to further this cause without raising suspicion. This can be very effective while organizing...and these smaller groups are essentially a series of patriotic cells as it were. I agree with another post on this site this urges the leaders from these smaller groups to contact one another to organize efforts. The entire compliment of cells, results in a whole entity; and when that whole acts in unison it will be noticed, it will bring a resolution.

Indubitably, that which was given was not earned, and that which was not earned is not revered!

Governments technically don't 'file' bankruptcy. They devalue the currency. The Mexican Peso is a prime example, and that is currently happening to the US Dollar. As they print money at a stagering rate (as they are) it results in inflation (price increase on real goods) and causes the interest rate to rise (to encourage foreign investors to purchase US securities). The only reason that prices have fallen is because the private sector has an overage of inventories and must move the products. The economic theory of Supply and Demand dicates, as demand falls and supply stays steady, the price must decrease. However, eventually these inventories will be sold or otherwise disposed of and the manufacturers will cut production (reducing the supply). This results in lay-offs across the board, and perpetuates the problem.

...so as it stands, Obama and Congress have already set us down the path of the proverbial 'bankruptcy'.

That is an excellent idea! Originally the tea that was dumped was for the same thing that is occurring on cigarettes now...an item that was cherished by some was taxed to the point of absurdity. Of course the fallacy in the proposed is that people refused to buy any further tea in order to decrease the King’s revenues. As a smoker myself, I don’t think that a lot of people would be willing to go to that extent. Ergo, it would have the opposite effect desired, and the tax revenues would actually increase instead of decreasing.

The Boston tea party was carried out by people that did not purchase the goods in question; they broke onto the ships and dumped the goods-an illegal activity. It’s a good thought, but I doubt that there are many who would be willing to sneak into a cigarette manufacturer’s warehouse and destroy the cigarettes. Keeping thinking about it, there may be something to your idea if done in a different manner.

Congratulations...I hope that you take your experiment as living proof that persistence and due diligence pays off…the very essence of what makes this nation such a great nation. Anything that you can dream of doing can come to pass with enough hard work…and the freedom to pursue your dreams is worth defending. Our founding fathers knew this, and drafted the Constitution with this in mind. The Pledge of Allegiance is a powerful message to commemorate all those that have come before you to defend these very rights; rights that have been secured by the sacrifices made of our soldiers to insure our Constitution’s continuation for future generations. Likewise, the pledge in and of itself is one's acknowledgement to an individuals duty towards one another within this nation.
